Bugs/Fish IRL

Have you ever seen any of collectibles in real life before? Obviously things like ants, bees, and goldfish... but like sharks, the exotic beetles, fireflies, etc?

This was inspired when I went to an aquarium with a friend that also happens to play AC and we were in awe that we were next to an arowana, arapaima, and other fish. I was absolutely floored at how large the ocean sunfish is. That thing is as big as a double door! I don't know why Reese pays a lot less for the sunfish than other things that big!

ive seen small hammerhead sharks in the wild.

fireflies are pretty common i think. but not sure if ive seen any of those giant beetles in real life, i mean i know ive seen stag beetles but im not sure what kind they were.

Fireflies are around in the summer. I remember chasing them as a child. I live in the country, though, and maybe you don't see them in the city? I've seen lots of beautiful fish at the Virginia Living Musuem.

I've only had one experience with fireflies and it was in the Philippines. My mom's friend had this huge house with a beautiful swimming pool. At one end were a bunch of fireflies flying lazy patterns about. Outside of that, I hardly ever see fireflies. Belle is definitely right, more likely found in the country.

Though it's not a collectible, I'd like to see the animal Shrunk is based off of: the Mexican Axolotl. They look pretty funny in pictures, I guess that's why his jokes aren't. lol

House centipedes are terrifying. I've seen one a few times at my old house and they were just the about the scariest things I've ever had the misfortune to witness. On the game they creep me out less but they were spot on with the design.

i've held a tarantula in the pet store, but never seen one in the wild. i've been bitten by scorpions, but only small ones, i've never seen giant ones in the wild. the small ones are still painful though. ive seen lots of butterflies but i dont think any giant birdwings, and have definitely only seen standard sized dragonflies.

I've seen most of the bugs in the game, except some of the beetles. I haven't seen a tarantula or an orchid mantis in the wild, just in captivity.

Oh, I forgot that I haven't seen some butterflies (like giant birdwings) in the wild either.

I've seen the majority of the insects and bugs that are in game, all except the football fish (can't remember it's real name in rl?)
I'd love to see one of those, they're my favourite fish in game.
I seen a lot of fireflies and there's a dragonfly that comes to visit in my garden every year (assuming it's the same one).
I've held a tarantula before and it was one of the worst experiences I've had....

Oh, actually I've never physically seen a scorpion either.
Think everything else I've experienced at some point or another

We have small scorpions here as well as some larger beetles but not really the ones in game, I do have some shadow boxes with some of the things in the game like a giant cicada and big scorpion and even a fruit beetle I think. We also have millipedes here but not centipedes.
