Blue roses

Is it just me, or does it just take FOREVER to breed a single blue rose? I've been playing since the game was released in the USA, breeding an endless array of flowers,yet not one blue rose. I think I'm about to give up, haha.

How long does it usually take long? I've followed the usual instructions about using only hybrid red roses, golden shovel, and fertiliser, etc etc... but I guess my luck just sucks. Any advice?

Growing blue roses from Red Roses+ are insanely difficult. Everyone has trouble with it.

I've tried doing that until Tex placed his house on top of them. It's much easier to just buy the blue roses from someone on the trading board and then use the golden shovel, golden watering can, and fertilizer to just grow them.

I tried it for in-game months. Then I wound up just buying a breeding pair on the forums, as aetherene said. It's so much easier. Hybrid reds do everything else for me, but they have never yielded an original blue.

That's just what I was about to do; beg someone to buy a pair.
I feel a little bad that I didn't do any of the work myself though, but desperate times calls for desperate measures, I guess lol

I gave up on breeding them too, until someone gave me a few and they've been breeding from each other like crazy if you'd like a pair I can give you them for free ^^

They take forever and I never ended up getting any. I feel like getting a few off the forums because they're so much easier to breed but I feel like that's not right.

I remember reading about how complicated it was and giving up right then and there. I managed to get two blue roses for free from a close friend of mine so I got off lucky there. Basically, screw the game's BS breeding rules for them and snag up two on your own. You're still gonna be breeding all the ones that come after that, so it's all fair!

I managed to breed my blue roses. I was so happy. I was about to give up, I went to my flower patch, and found a blue rose. Thankfully, it took me less time to get a second one to breed them together

same with me, i ended up just trading for two to breed. There not too bad once you have two of them, but i have never actually bred one naturally. Also, has anyone else had trouble breeding black cosmos? I havent bred a single one, ill have to buy some off someone but its funny that they seem to be as hard to breed as blue roses

I've managed to breed every flower except purple pansies. They seem to be nearly as hard as blue roses. I'm still dedicated to getting flowers myself so I'm not going to give up any time soon!

Black cosmos breed in my town like weeds, haha. I think I'll do that; buy a pair from one of you lovely and generous folks :'D

Apart from using two hybrid red roses -- does letting them wilt first help?

I've managed to breed a couple, but that was over the course of a year. :c

I feel the same way about purple tulips and purple pansies. I'm going to just buy some blue roses as it's awful to try and breed them yourself! You've got like a 0.00001% chance.

I've had hybrid red roses for several months and I've never gotten a blue rose. Luckily I traded with someone for two blue roses and they've been breeding like crazy. I've been having trouble breeding purple tulips for the longest time but I managed to have some pop up. I also find it hard getting black cosmos, as I only have one.
