blathers doesn't say anything when you complete the fossils?

after weeks of him saying all the fossils i tried to asses to him are already donated, when i donated the last one to complete, he didn't say it's complete. is this normal or maybe i'm still missing a fossil that i just missed?

he did just say "the ophthalmosaurus is finally complete" but nothing about the fossil section, let me have a look around again ugh. maybe it's on the small fossils? idk

He would say that the museum fossil collection is complete and thank you for doing it...so I think maybe your fossil collection is not yet completed?

Check all of your big dinosaurs. It will say something like 'awaiting donations' if one of them isn't complete yet.

I actually had this same concern before! I found out I was actually missing a fossil after cross-checking my fossil list (found in the Nook Shopping miscellaneous section) to the list of fossils in VillagerDB

There's a website (can't remember which one) where you can check off all the fossils you've had and donated off. (Check which ones via Nook Shopping).

I've got one left and it is frustrating!

Check all of your big dinosaurs. It will say something like 'awaiting donations' if one of them isn't complete yet.

no they're all complete except the ophthalmosaurus, that's why i thought i just needed that so it's definitely a small single one.

He only mentions that the fossil exhibit is complete if the last fossil donated wasn't donated alongside anything else. So, if you donated multiple fossils at a time, or some bugs, fish, and a fossil altogether, he won't mention that the exhibit is complete.

i found it, it's the COPROLITE. i'm sure this will take weeks again. but it's fine. at least i finally know which exact one is missing.

thanks! i'll try not to buy it from here now that i know the name haha i wanna find it myself. i think i was avoiding trying to know the names so i'll discover them myself, but i think it's good that i know what i'm missing now.
