Black Wii Remote for USA

Nintendo has revealed new black Wii controllers and a pink version of the DSi handheld. These new colours will be available in the US this holiday season but they haven't been confirmed for the UK.

Nintendo Of America President Reggie Fils-Aime revealed these new colours in his keynote address at the 2009 GameStop Manager Conference. The black Wii Remote will come bundled with a black Wii MotionPlus accessory while the black Nunchuk will be available separately.

The pink DSi colour is all-new but US gamers will also have the chance to buy a white DSi for the first time. The white DSi was available at UK launch but hasn't been available until now in the US. The pink and white DSi consoles will join the blue and black versions that are already available in the US.

Reggie Fils-Aime said "All of these announcements bring more options and more choices to consumers as our industry heads into its busiest time of the year. Each of these products allows consumers to enjoy a more personal gaming experience, no matter how they choose to play."

We contacted Nintendo UK and were told that these are for the US only right now and there are no announcements planned for UK.

That's not new. You can get it like tommorow. I don't remember where, but you can hire some nintendo person to paint your wii remotes. It's very expensive though. It's like $30... So you'd be better off buying another remote.... They also do custom designs! : D

I seen a site where you can get any console and controllers done with custom designs like that, I highly considered it but it costs loads to ship to Europe.

Cool, but nintendo should do what they did with the Nintendo 64. There were like over 30 colors for that system and over 15 Controller Colors.
