Black camera screen, how to fix?

You mean with the 3DS?
My camera screen is black for a few seconds until it reads how much space is left on my SD card. A 0 appears in the corner while that is happening. If yours is stuck at 0 over top of a black screen, it could be you don't have any space left. Or it might be having trouble reading the SD card.
Is it both the inner and outer camera that do this?

On certain things? Do you mean at certain times or when you point the DS in a certain direction?
