Best way to time travel?

So I reset my town yesterday, and I set it to June 9th, because that's when I bought the game. I'm planning on time travelling day by day back to the present, but obviously, over 10 months, that would take too long. I've been thinking about time travelling day by day just for June, then doing it by 2 weeks at a time, or just going to holiday dates. I'm not planning on catching bugs and fish, since it's almost June in 2014. I'm really unsure about what I want to do.

That's what I did, and I've just been doing it day by day by day... And I'm currently in November. It's really up to you. If you don't mind being behind everyone for a while, then go for it! If you're anxious to be at the same time as everyone, skipping every other day would be fine. I wouldn't recommend more than 3 days at a time, if you care about your villagers staying. And I would also recommend the town ordinance that keeps your town beautiful/saves your flowers, so you don't have to worry about that. But it's up to you! Depends on what you are most concerned with

Well, since you reset your town, I would do it day by day until you get nine villagers. That way, you won't be surprised when someone plops their house down where you don't want to.

But for me, the best way to TT, especially over long periods of time, is to stop someone from moving. Save and quit. TT to your desired date. Load up the game again. No one ever moves.
