My campsite villagers have all been terrible except for one. Since I’m missing a jock, cranky, and sisterly villager, the game keeps throwing those personalities at me. I don’t really like many of the villagers from those groups, so I got little use from the campsite. Then, out of nowhere, I got a notification from Isabelle that someone was camping. “Imagine if it were Raymond,” I said to myself half-joking, knowing full well I already had two smugs. Lo and behold the tent opened and revealed glasses cat, which caused me to make an audible gasping noise. I don’t know why the RNG decided to be suddenly kind to me but I wasn’t about to reject the gift I had been given.
Diana. She’s been awesome all the time. She’s fine with me being feral despite being a snooty, and I’ve even seen her sitting in a pile of leaves. Plus she saved me from my scariest villager lol
Rosie turned up at my campsite today and is definitely my fave out of the few I've had so far. I haven't wanted to replace any of my original ten so far out of guilt (lol), but I couldn't resist keeping her when she suggested swapping with Pietro.
Either Jacques (my first/mandatory camper) or Mott (used to have him in NL; didn't get him at the time since he kept asking to replace villagers that I didn't want to get rid of yet and I got tired of playing the minigame repeatedly).
It's Eugene for me. I had him in New Leaf and I liked him a bunch, but I didn't play for a week and he moved out. When I saw him as my first campsite villager I was overjoyed
Julian or Vivian. Not that I planned on keeping either of them but they are popular I guess. Didn't sell either of them though, since I gave Julian away and Vivian just... moved out of the blue
I've gotten Raymond, which might be objectively the luckiest, but my favorite campsite move-in was Goldie. she is a sweetheart and I've never regretted inviting her.
I also got Marcel but couldn't get him to move in at the time... Breaks my heart now
I’d say probably Marshal and Stitches are the best I’ve gotten in terms of popularity, I didn’t invite stitches though cause already have Sherb and Bob on my island.
Also got Blanche and Olivia before who lived on my island for a while, and really liked them both.
I don't take note of randoms, tbh and the last time I did was when I got Shep as my forced camper. If I need a villager out of my campsite, I would just try to reset for them. I've gotten Raymond, Judy, Audie, Marshal, Fuchsia, Poppy and Tia there.
Best camper I've had so far has been Kabuki, who I adore he is one of my dream cranky villagers besides Roscoe and of course I had to invite him! Now I have both Roscoe and Kabuki on my island and they are never leaving my island c:
this lovely gal. i still remember this day - i had been up all night writing an essay for english class that was due in a few days because i procrastinate everything and a few hours in, i accidentally deleted everything i wrote which was just,,,,, not sexy at all LMAO. but i was awake still at 5am and i decided to just boot up the game and start the day early and isabelle told me there was a camper and like always, i said “lmao what if it’s audie” because out of all my dream villagers, i was kinda obsessed with her and wanted her the most.
well lo and behold, audie was in my campsite and prior to taking this photo, i stared at her for 10 minutes out of shock
So far, I've been pretty happy with my campers. In terms of popularity, Sherb and Bunnie were probably best. However, I was personally also very happy to get Cranston and O'Hare. (I asked all four of the aforementioned villagers to move in).
Zell was my forced camper, so I'm pretty happy about that, then briefly tried the campsite method to get a specific villager, but ran into Cyd and I decided I wanted him instead, then I had Piper and I fell in love with her, and most recently, Pietro decided to visit so I said to myself "why not?" to my third Smug lol I don't regret any of these decisions, they're all the best!!!
In terms of a popular villager, that would definitely be when I got Raymond when I was doing the campsite method to find Marshal. I invited him to see what the fuss was about but he didn’t stay for long.
I got Bunnie as random camper too and moved her in. I hadn’t even heard of her before and now she’s a permanent resident
