Best Map??

My Birthday is on the 19th and I am hoping to get a second copy of animal crossing. I would like to make a forest type town (all natural etc) as all of my previous towns have been very developed. I was wondering what the best map for this type of town was and what everyone likes, landscaping wise? Thanks

I think for that theme any map would be fine. I personally wouldn't pick the maps with a big winding river that cut off a thin portion of land.

I would. It makes the town feel bigger but it doesn't have to be a perfectly even split.

I think something to consider would be the beach- if you want 1 big beach or a split one. I just reset my town and my new town, Muffin, has 2 equally sized beaches which makes it really inconvenient when I'm trying to fish along the beach. I also use the beach for making hybrid flowers and there's not a whole lot of room to do so.

That's just something I didn't think of and really wish I had lol

hmm a natural forest town can go with any map because paths are pretty thin

Thanks everyone! That is actually very helpful. Also, I'm torn between two names, either Faraway or Pixidust. Would love feedback, I think I'm leaning slightly closer to Pixidust considering I am going to call my character Fae

A map with a lot of space is a good way to go!
Ooh, I prefer Pixidust. Gives a hint of something magical about the forest.

For a forest, I actually prefer a town with one bigger land + one really narrow and small land, something which is not making it equal sizes? This is cus I thought that that narrower and smaller part can be the 'deep' part of the forest and somewhere in it would be a hidden home

Also, I think Pixidust is good, sounds more magical for a forest!

A map with a smaller area at the bottom and a large top area might be good for a forest town, then you could place villager houses in the bottom part and have the top for pwps/woodlands etc?
I've seen somebody whose town had all villager houses in a line in the bottom half and the town felt huge. Half an half towns never give me the feeling of space for some reason. Mine is pretty evenly split and I don't like it very much

This is my town map and I think one like this would work pretty well! you could make the small section a secret forest

(this isn't a recent version of my map btw, the houses are in different places now)
