I am seeing waay to many guides about how to move villagers out.
Wether its time traveling or not, please comment below what method has worked for you when it comes to moving out villagers (without using amiibos lol)!
Im trying to have Poppy move out so I can give her to a friend.
I also want to kick out Phil and Kidd xP

Feel free to link videos, websites etc that show steps on how to move out villagers!
But i'd prefer if you guys tell me wether it actually works or not hehe.

They say the best way is to talk to the villager to want to leave once and never again! Then time travel a few days at a time before checking in to see who wants to move out! The method usually only works when you have the maximum set of villagers! If you ever get Kidd to leave do you mind if I swoop in to swipe him? Thank you!

this is the method i use, it's pretty successful but just becomes tiresome after a while since sometimes it can take a bit for the villager you want to move out:
I go back to like march 1st, talk to a few people, then skip 15 days. If someone is asking to move, and its the one I want, I get them to leave. Its its someone I wanna keep, I skip 15 more days. But if nobody asks to move, I skip two days at a time until someone asks!

Interesting! Ill try that out!
And yes of course! Ill actually write your username down on my phone so that once Kidd wants to move, ill message you and you can take him hehe

so when you talk to a few people, is the person you want to move out included in that group?

thank you so so so much!! 💕

I tried the ignore the villagers you want to evict and talk to the rest of your villagers and TT 15 days forward. Honestly this didn't work at all for me. While a villager did have a bubble above their head it wasn't any of the ones I ignored. Every villager I got that wanted to move out were the ones I talked to. So I decided to ignore the villagers I wanted to keep and talk the ones I wanted to move out. It worked out this way. I realized its the same as in new leaf. Those with higher friendship are willing to move out quicker. I managed to kick out 3/4 villagers this way. I was very lucky to find my dreamies as I was kicking them out as well.

I've been using the skipping 15 day method and have been able to kick out my unwanted villagers this way. Some are really stubborn and might take a while to leave but they will eventually.

do you have a post or video that elaborates on the 15 skip method? ><

I’ve just kicked out two villagers this week using that 15 day TT method that others have explained already.

I set it back to March, talk to a couple villagers just so it registers that I’ve logged on that day, then skip to 15 days later. If I don’t see a thought bubble, I skip one day at a time until there is a bubble. And if it is the wrong villager, I tell them to stay then skip another 15 days and so on. When I get the villager I want, I TT one day to get them in boxes and see if someone else wants to adopt them, then TT one more day to get an empty plot. Usually I get the right one before reaching the real date, although I did once have terrible luck and it took me over 2 months of TTing to get the right villager to leave!

I use the 15 day TT method but after i find someone with a though bubble I check day-to-day. However sometimes i get only the same 4-5 villagers asking to leave, so if it's been an hour or two and they didn't ask to leave, I move their house and usually this makes them ask to leave within 5 days. I hope this helps someone with a similar problem and it may just be coincidence but it worked for me when cycling through villagers.

ahh im so glad to hear that the 15 day TT method works! im going to try it out myself ^_^

Is there a method that works best for when you can't TT (because of preference or turnips)? I really need to start culling the herd...

Someone threw shade at me for linking TagbackTV rofl but honestly his guides always worked for me. He made a video on how to get villagers out without TTing, so hopefully this one works for you!

I don't TT either, and what I do is keep in mind how many days it's been since my last move-out. Then, when it's been 14 days, I consider to be in "move-out season", so if anyone has a bubble at the beginning of the day before having talked to them, it probably means they want to leave. If it's a villager I want to keep, I ignore the bubble completely and go see Nook to ask to move the villager's house (and then I return the plot). This makes the bubble jump to another villager, usually the next day, but I've heard it can happen the following day cycle (morning->afternoon->evening). It's a matter of luck getting the bubble to jump to the villager you want, but it's the only method I've found that works without TTing. Hope this wasn't confusing lol <3
