I mainly use Paint Tool Sai and Sketchbook Pro. I don't know/use any good free drawing software that you can get legitimately/legally though. I normally use Photoshop for GFx and stuff.

photoshop is my favorite, but ive seen great things made on Paint Tool Sai

i like paint tool sai for drawing/painting and sometimes i'll use photoshop to edit it after.

My personal favorite would be Easy Paint Tool Sai as it gives a nicer smoother look in my opinion. Although i'm not entirely sure of any free programs you could get that work well
