Benches...

I've got 3 benches, they've only really sat on them a couple of times.

Then again, if they are near where villagers live, there's more chance they'll sit c:

I have one bench and a few stumps in my town, and once I caught two of my uchi villagers hanging out on the bench. Another two seperate times, Bam and Merry sat on stumps. I have a feeling a lot of that stuff happens in the early afternoon, and I barely play then, haha.

I notice something, but not sure 100% it works this way.

Usually when i left my game going long enough, say i will run to the beaches, and leave the game running when i go and have a meal or something, around 30mins etc... So in total about 2 hours or more non-stop for the game to run...

when i come back i will find villagers engage in more activities, like sitting on benches, talking to each other ( sometimes pissing each other XD) , exchanging clothes etc.... more often.

Just my personal observation.

Shortly before he moved, I joined Hugh on the tire toy bench. Which was nice, since he suggested it as a PWP. When I pressed A, he asked me to sit, and then he beamed when I joined him. Or I could just:

One of my benches gets a lot of attention. It's placed right in between Re-Tail and the plaza. There's also four houses close by.
Sometimes two villagers would be sharing the bench. That's so cute.

I feel the same way. Even in my picnic area they never sit down...
Oh well...

I only have one bench and I haven't really seen many of my villagers sitting on it. They much prefer my tree stumps, I catch them on it all the time. :3

I put mine in my park area near my villager 'neighborhood' and by the campsite and they don't sit on it that often

I found that if I sit on a bench or stump and then stay for about 10 minutes, once I got up and walk around, I'd find villagers on a bench. My one bench that used to get a ton of sitting action was by a bridge. My other bench that is by many villagers doesn't seem to get as many sitters.

Mine always have their eyes closed too - I think it is because they are smiling so hard.

Aww, congrats on finally getting a villager to sit on your bench! I'm not sure what the issue was, my villagers sit on my two benches a ton, as well as on tree stumps and once Aurora was sitting in a chair in her house. Maybe they sat but never when you were around?

Thanks ^__^ I'm very jealous of you D: hopefully it wasn't just a one time thing..It's such an awesome feeling finding them on a bench/stump..idk why..
