Beetle hunting is boring

Very boring for me, mostly because I scare at least 65% of the bugs by accident and it takes a lot longer than it should. Taking a break and doing a tour or something helps, but watching TV or listening to music has little effect.

The only times I have really enjoyed Beetle Hunting was when I went to the island with other people, so we could chat as we hunted.

I haven't had to hunt for beetles in weeks after I got super rich off the turnips and paid off all my house expansion with plenty left over for other stuff.
Maybe I'll start hunting them once or twice a week to keep my money high.

Ehh it gets boring if I reaally really spam it (like continually TT to 7:30pm on each day in a row and make many many trips) but rarely do I do that.. Probably only once if I recall.. I don't really like doing that haha. It gets a little boring for me when the bugs stop appearing as often, then I have to do more running than catching..

You could go do a tour, because they save when it's complete. If you don't actually even want to do the tour then start it, then go off and have a 5minute AC break then come back xD

I dont think i can save when i play alone on the island.

Usually i get about 420-450k on one trip, so i focus myself on earning those numbers to push myself to fill out the box.

And i wonder why they arent extinct yet.

Its fun, but only when theres lots of bugs out. Right now I'm at the island, and have walked around like 10 times and the only thing I have caught was 1 tiger beetle and 1 horned atlas. Sometimes every other tree will have bugs, and sometimes theres none.

When the bugs start doing that to me I just run in the hut and back out to reset them. I never cut down any trees, so I'm usually scaring off the ones on the non-palm trees, but it still only takes me about an hour to collect all palm bugs (with a rainbow stag or a type of shark thrown in).

I totally agree. Boring. I didn't mind so much to begin with, but it feels like a real chore now, I can barely be bothered. I think I'm going to ditch it completely and start using turnips.

I actually ditched beetles and went onto turnips. With turnips you can actually get help from friends, but on wifi and wireless they'll scare the beetles away ._.
Turnips are a MUCH better way of making profit. Beetle-catching is a great way of making profit but they BARELY appear these days. And I don't really like playing New Leaf at night after 9pm. There's basically nothing to do but make Re-Tail trips.

I was just about to give up on beetle hunting (it was so tiring!) and make money the old-fashioned way... fishing in my own ocean LOL but now I've decided to watch anime meanwhile yay for nice suggestions.

It is rather boring and sometimes I can't be bothered to do it. However, without beetle hunting I wouldn't have nearly six million bells in the bank so I guess it's kinda worth it.

Most of the time I watch let's plays on YouTube or Skype with my friends while beetle hunting, so sometimes it doesn't seem as bad.

Only farm before turnip day really. Or if I go to the Island to hunt for the Scarab Beetle, haven't caught that one yet.

I know exactly what you mean, but I guess its for the money. I just put it all into my savings which is why I happen to have 2,350,000 bells in there, I suppose the mortgage gets payed that way...
