Beau male or female?

I am sorry if I offend anyone with this question but is beau a male or a female ? He/she has the blue sign when i talk to him/her but he/she dresses like a girl in my town

Well in this game you can make a boy look completely like a girl and vice versa, since all clothes, accessories, shoes etc and after a while, all haircuts, are available to both female and male mayors. So it's also possible for villagers to equip all kinds of shirts as well. Beau is a lazy character, which is a personality only available to male characters in this game.

He's a male. He has a male personality (lazy) and he has antlers, which only male deer have in-game.
