This might sound obvious or redundant. I feel like still needs to be said anyways. I’ve noticed that misinformation has been easily spreading since the release NH. I understand we love new information and alerting others if we found new bugs or glitches. Once its out there its hard to take back even if it has been proven false numerously. Also noticed that not everyone gets the same information the same way. They might only be look on twitter, an discord group or just one community, for some it can easy miss the correction.

Unless I'm seeing actual proof, I personally dont worry too much about the rumors. There is a lot going on, and I know people are spreading that information with the good intention of informing their community, but I agree it's really best to confirm things before going public with it. It can really cause some distress depending on what type of 'bug' it is.

Some of it isn't people trying to lie or troll. Some of it is just people not noticing or understanding how something worked before, and then suddenly noticing it and thinking some update did it. I saw someone yesterday, for example, wondering if the update added in the max letters count for the mailbox. It didn't. It always been there. They just didn't notice it until after the update.

Regardless, I agree with this. I'm getting really sick of the rumors and misinformation being touted as fact. And, like you said, some people never hear that it got debunked. I wonder how many people still go through the effort to make Wilbur blush thinking it gives them better chances of rare islands.

GUYS SERIOUS ISSUE IN THE NEW ANIMAL CROSSING UPDATE if you go on a mystery tour and find the villager Raymond DO NOT INVITE HIM TO YOUR ISLAND doing so will INVITE RAYMOND TO YOUR ISLAND and risks you HAVING RAYMOND ON YOUR ISLAND trust me guys i got RAYMOND and now i'm infested with catboy fancams. stay safe out there

It's always good to double - even triple - check your information before telling other people

Honestly usually I don’t fall for stuff like that but I’ve been awake for almost 2 days now due to personal reasons and I’m currently working with 1 brain cell
