Hi people.

As you might know, the 24th of this month (in atleast Europe), Bayonetta 2 is released.

Anyone as excited for this game as I am?

The reviews are raving, even better then they were for the Original version.

Its an instant buy for me, but I can imagine with so many good releases (on all gaming platforms), gamers have to make hard choices these days. So why is, or isn`t this is an option for you?

The reviews blew SSB4 out of the water yet I see very few people excited for this. Knowing Platinum Games and having seen a lot of the promotional footage, it's going to be another stellar game that requires a lot from the player. I can already hear all the people complaining about it being unforgiving, like when Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released.

I got my copy today, but I'm holding off on playing it as I want to play through the first Bayonetta again beforehand. I'm doing that now. The game looks as good as expected, and while I only played the game once a few years ago, the memories come flowing back as I play. The first one is more in the style of the DMC games, which makes sense since Kamiya and Team Little Devils created both.
From the short demo of B2 I played, it felt more like a general PG title - endless high-octane action. I'm really looking forward to playing it, but it might be a few days before I get to it.

I need it help it's 24 hours away from my grasps (or less depending on when I get up)
I'm exciting to replay B1 with a costume, I just feel that's right haha The song Moon River in B2 is so far my favorite that I've heard, there's the climax version, not sure if there's a longer one for the game.

the demo IS SO GOO DO OK !!

the music is so cool lmao and i find it really fluid and just generally fun. looking forward to this game, always wanted the original when I watched octaneblue stream it years ago, so I was super glad when I found out they gave the original with the sequel.
thx nintendo 4 saving this game from the gutter

Yes, thats why it suprised me as well. I guess Bayonetta was one of those games that came to the shops under the radar, even though it got positive reviews as well at the time, so it didn`t really set up a big support base for this sequal. But still, such good scores and amazing footage can surely not just be overlooked?
Is it really because Nintendo gamers are less interested in "hardcore" games?

Because like you say, the harder difficulty level and challenge of the game is exactly what I crave. I love the games Nintendo puts forward, but it rarely packs a punch difficulty wise, this both offers quite unique gameplay and a challenge. It just suprises me there is no real excitement over this.

Yeah, I`ve seen the bundle pack available through pre-order. I forgot to pre-order it and now I`m wondering what I will do tomorrow at the store, when they only might sell the Bayonetta 2 game without the original. I could still order the doublepack, it would just mean I have to wait a weekend longer, probably. Might come in on saturday. So i`ll probably buy it in the store tomorrow.

Well, atleast I found a few players who actually are excited about this, like me. I kinda want this game to sell well, to send a message to Nintendo that these type of games are welcomed with open arms.

I'm interested in Bayonette but I haven't picked it up yet. I've seen several videos in a LP of the first one but nothing more than that. The super sexualized style and the innuendos are usually something that would turn me off from a game, but...something about it makes me want to give it a chance. The terribly tongue-in-cheek humor, probably.

It's only as sexualized as DMC games, yet because it's a woman everybody goes ape****. Bayonetta is a strong character, and shows sexiness through her maturity more than through her clothing choice. Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw is a lot more offensive in that regard.
If you've played and enjoyed DMC or similar games (or any Kamiya game for that matter) you should definitely give Bayonetta a try. It's challenging enough to make you throw your controller across the room at times.

I remember literally getting angry at Rising at times because I couldn't get the parrying down. But then once you learn those skills and start to become good at the game, it's such a rush. I like playing "normal" games too, but when I feel like I'm starting to master a game's system, especially one so complex and precise, I feel so good about it that I just want to keep playing. When Bayonetta 2 was announced 2 years ago I had already decided it would be a day 1 purchase.
