The reviews blew SSB4 out of the water yet I see very few people excited for this. Knowing Platinum Games and having seen a lot of the promotional footage, it's going to be another stellar game that requires a lot from the player. I can already hear all the people complaining about it being unforgiving, like when Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released.
Yes, thats why it suprised me as well. I guess Bayonetta was one of those games that came to the shops under the radar, even though it got positive reviews as well at the time, so it didn`t really set up a big support base for this sequal. But still, such good scores and amazing footage can surely not just be overlooked?
Is it really because Nintendo gamers are less interested in "hardcore" games?
Because like you say, the harder difficulty level and challenge of the game is exactly what I crave. I love the games Nintendo puts forward, but it rarely packs a punch difficulty wise, this both offers quite unique gameplay and a challenge. It just suprises me there is no real excitement over this.
I got my copy today, but I'm holding off on playing it as I want to play through the first Bayonetta again beforehand. I'm doing that now. The game looks as good as expected, and while I only played the game once a few years ago, the memories come flowing back as I play. The first one is more in the style of the DMC games, which makes sense since Kamiya and Team Little Devils created both.
From the short demo of B2 I played, it felt more like a general PG title - endless high-octane action. I'm really looking forward to playing it, but it might be a few days before I get to it.
Yeah, I`ve seen the bundle pack available through pre-order. I forgot to pre-order it and now I`m wondering what I will do tomorrow at the store, when they only might sell the Bayonetta 2 game without the original. I could still order the doublepack, it would just mean I have to wait a weekend longer, probably. Might come in on saturday. So i`ll probably buy it in the store tomorrow.
Well, atleast I found a few players who actually are excited about this, like me. I kinda want this game to sell well, to send a message to Nintendo that these type of games are welcomed with open arms.
