I want to start this thread because I see a lot of people getting ripped off when it comes to buying items
or people ripping off people when selling items.

I also see a lot of knowledge about the game is hidden away, a common thing i see people doing is asking people to come over for Katrina, and you should know ONLY YOUR READINGS COUNT, not others! Other basic Knowledge is posted in spoiler below:

To get Villager's pictures you must max their friendship (talk with them everday, do tasks for them...etc) and do 15 requests (at least that's the magic number for me)

Repeat: Katrina's fortune count only counts your fortunes

How to get a perfect town: 110+ Trees, 75+ Flowers, i learned that Bamboo does not count as trees. You must have less then 10 items and 10 weeds for 15 days. Dandelion and clovers are weeds but they do not effect your town negatively.

To upgrade Town Hall: Have 100 percent satisfaction rate (perfect town in other words)

To upgrade Train Station: Have 100 visitors

Now to deal with the pricing of items...
Now I want to make myself clear: I AM NOT SAYING PEOPLE DO THIS ON PURPOSE, I believe this happens because people are mis-informed. I want to clear this up a bit.
I am only posting POPULAR ITEMS, such as 7-11 set. I calculated what these items should be going for based on averages i got from this site, ACC and Reddit, and I added those averages up and divided by 3 (because there are 3 sites from which i got the info from) I did these calculations today! So all of these prices are as up to date as they can be.

I don't see how people can get ripped off or robbed when trading. It's next to impossible thanks to the convenient wi-fi switch.

You drop your items and the other person doesn't? Wifi switch.

Yeah, I haven;'t heard anything about this too except for today in the IRC.
Pretty sure it's true though.

I just made 16 alt characters, got the PWP.

Another tip everyone should know: Brewster doesn't store gyroids...anymore..

I think the OP means so that someone isn't overcharging someone new to trading on the forums, not someone just running off with their items/bells etc.

I was thinking that but there's no way to list a fair price for every item in the game especially with duping the price drops.

Also that Tweeter price is total BS.

The founder of the glitch gives away tweeters if you ask and I gave my friend one for free too.
Then again I sold one for 1million because the guy was extremely desperate for some reason.

Hm, does it count for you if you travel to another players town and get your fortune read there? Or must you wait for Katrina to come visit you 20 separate times

Regarding Katrina, from what I gathered early on on this site people can visit her but you HAVE to be the 20th reading.

ah! something else i just want to add too about the pricing.... just an example that is not listed here, i sell hairbow wigs for about 300k rather than the buy price of 4.2k because it is a seasonal item which means i have to TT to spring to get it, it's not always guaranteed that it will be there so i have to go day by day (which is very time consuming), some of my villagers will go away (i lost chrissy when trying to get one for a friend ;n and then i have to go back to the current day and pull out weeds, dig up fossils, pick fruit and all of it just adds up so that's why people may charge more than the actual items worth :/ PLUS they are doing a favour for you by ordering/buying it for you when they are not obliged to so i don't really think it's "ripping people off" per se... ah... sorry if i come off as rude...

Some of those already reflect the new prices. 7-11 items used to go for a lot more than that for the whole set. The prices may still be dropping though. I don't know. I don't participate in the high priced AC economy. I operate on fair trades and reasonable prices. Has worked out well for me so far. Have still managed to get rare items.

I know the gold set is another one like the sloppy set that goes for ridiculous amounts. Same for the cardboard set.

Sadly, until the duping glitch is patched, the prices will continue to drop.

I'm not entirely against duping, because honestly I don't care how people choose to play the game, but I hate when so many people take advantage of it that it just destroys the online trading economy.
