Basement Ideas

Mine is a library/study. I have a fireplace, gorgeous couch and an armchair before the fire, large bookcases lining one wall, and some maps, signature cards, stacks of books lying about. I also put a chair and table in one spot to hold a typewriter. It's actually cozy and one of my favorite spots.

I wanted my house to sort of reflect me, personally, so the rooms all have things that relate to me in some way or another.

I think I'm going to make mine a Race Car Garage. I'll have the sports car since the Mario Kart is a bit too small but I could use that, a bunch of tools, heaps of computer equipment and some gym equipment

In my main's house I made the basement into a spaceship control room.



My alt's is still a wip but I'm making the basement into a golden/treasure room

My basement is my samurai war room. It's meant to resemble a room where a Japanese daimyo would have met with his samurai and consulted with his advisers about strategies during feudal Japan.

In my basement I have a garage. I use the luxury car that you get from linking your HHD data and recolor it. I use the ivy wall and rococo floor but it really is up to you.

I'm going to make mine into a mushroom garden; using the wildflower floor, mushroom series furniture, garden rocks etc. Haven't decided on a wallpaper yet, maybe one of the sky ones or a custom pattern. Also going to add gems and the like to give a mystical fairy feel.

I almost always make a gaming room in the basement but I'm toying with the idea of making a workshop.. like a woodworking room or something like that! Not sure yet! I think I would use some of the furniture from cyrus' RV but I'm still figuring out which other pieces to use

In my main town, I turned my basement into a movie hangout / hobby room.

In the far left corner (hangout):
-kotatsu with pillows and sloppy sofa, with snacks and 3DS
-tv with Wii U and movie shelves

In far right corner (streaming/PC gaming):
-PC
-cameras and spotlights for streaming
-piano keyboard and trumpet for recording music

In near left corner (art supplies):
-blueprints on walls
-tool stand
-boxes

In near right corner (painting/crafting for streams):
-sloppy table with doll house that I'm making
-paint set
-a vase I made and painting
-all in front of a camera and standing spotlight



This room was probably the hardest to put together lol.Haven't gotten my basement yet in second town, but maybe tomorrow as I'm paying off my next loan.

In the save I'm playing now, my basement is going to be kind of like a rec room? Pool table, dart board, TV and stuff. Once I make another character in my town though I'm probably going to put all my Mario stuff there though.
