Basement Ideas

I turned my basement into an arcade/rave room. It was initially in the left room, but I thought it would look better in the basement.

I turned my basement into a rec room. I have some a TV, computers, servers, gym equipment and a fooseball table

I made my basement a music room for my dad, and he thinks it's amazing.

For awhile I had a spare beds, laundry and a TV room.
I removed all of it and have a dressing room with Gracie wall/floor, sofa and chair.
Put some tables in the room to display some hats and most of the glasses. I now have room in my closet for my favorite clothing and room for holding some bug/fish. Most of my players have the same set up.

One extra player has the creepy set in her basement with the spooky table/sofa, patched clothing and pumpkin heads.

I was going to get the 7/11 set and make it a 7/11 but I didn't lol

my basement is a Tiki Bar. its got the KK Aloha? soundtrack playing, the Gracie bar x 2, the peacock chair and some of the island furniture, the hula doll, and some fish tanks.

Although it's an overused idea, I used my mayor's basement for an under the sea theme because a basement is usually underground.
I'm also using it as a game room for one of my alts.
Basements are also good to use for sort of secret rooms that reveal a side of the character that is completly different from what you'd expect from them.

My basement is spose to be my arcade room but right now it's just being used as a storage like most my other rooms.

I know New Leaf has many possible furniture options so I bet you could creatively come up with something that could work using the ideas presented with this picture! For the Fireplace, for example, you could get the brick fireplace or you could go to the museum shop & buy one of those big frames that you can put a fireplace pattern design in. For the couch, you could take 2 couches and put them in a "L" formation and find a ottoman/coffee table piece to go with it. Just some ideas, hope this helps! :)

A couch "set" that can make an L shape is the box sofa and box corner sofa. You can customize the color of those pieces as well.

Those are awesome (after Googling them)! :o I honestly didn't know they were a thing until you mentioned them! lol What colors can they be customized to? Knowing these exist, I may use them for a particular idea I have in mind. :)

You're welcome; they look really nice once you get the configuration and color that you prefer. :3 The available colors are pink, black, white, beige, blue, red, and navy.

Seeing the pictures I saw, they definitely do! I bet black looks absolutely sick and would fit well with the default Modern series if I made like an entertainment center/living area with it (in a U shape with the modern table in the middle). :D

That would be awesome. I've seen it mostly used for entertainment center purposes in the HH showcase and dream towns I've visited. It's very simple but sleek when it's set up that way.

Both of my basements in NL are shrines lmao.... my mayor?s basement is dedicated to Octavian (and also a bunch of random items from the creepy series to make it look more spooky down there) and my second file?s basement is dedicated to Resetti, though it?s far from finished. So far the room is just big enough to hold both versions of the inflatable Resetti and that?s about it. Idk, my brother and I have always made our basements in these games creepy for some reason lmao.

Not sure if this was suggested but you could always turn your basement into a study.:D
