Today, I am resetting Blanche spot but accidently logged into my mayor ;_; she plotted on the nice spot I suppose to build a garden (still waiting for pwp request] not exactly the bad spot but still....it can be better...since she is my permanent guess I gonna coop with it :( . This must be the major flaw in ACNL!

Agree?

There's already a ton of threads like this, the answers are usually either.
"No because I like the random factor"
or
"Yes I wanna choose were they live"
I'm the ladder, just because I want my town to be as perfect as possible, not that it matters a whole lot since I have a ****ty layout, I have done a good work on my town so far though imo.

It would be nice if you could give them some encouragement to pick the right spot. Like, clear out trees and such in a certain spot. Almost like a Helicopter landing pad. "Put ya house here!" XP

I used to be okay with the random factor, until Tammy moved in right in front of my campsite and next to a bridge... I'm planning to make that area sort of a campground area, but as you know... Especially since I'm gonna eventually replace that bridge into a brick one when I get it as a request, and I don't think I could do it if she was in the way. :(

Urghh I am with you. I don't care at the beginning of my starting game until Barold plotted near the railway fence, I never allow random spot anymore and don't have any reset problem and choose my spot carefully until today. Abit of absent minded make the mistake...at the starting screen I saw her spot was just nice behind Roald house but I guess we cannot trust that. Although it is not very good but i am glad I blocked my Orchard with some pwp or she might be landing there lol....

Yeeeeah, especially when you figure out a great spot for a PWP, but a villager's house is too close... D: We need residential areas. >:X

=x but I guess a bad or good spot we can always coop with it xD worst to worst change another villager!! Yay!!

I know the feeling. I just started a new town and was trying to get three villagers from my old town to move into my new town. I wanted a certain villager to move in right next to me and be neighbors but I forgot a new villager was moving in and they moved exactly where I wanted that other villager to go. Now to play the waiting game!

I've plotset for every villager so far, because I can't handle them moving wherever they please.
(Especially since they always want to move 2 tiles in front of my house for some reason. >.>; )

The only time I ever slipped up was with Charlise. I was plot setting while talking with my cousin (While she was doing the same thing) and accidentally logged into my mayor.... But she picked the exact spot I wanted her in. I thought I was hallucinating for a minute before I realized I was just really lucky.
