Avoiding neighbour swaps- i DoN't WaNt DeEnA aGaIn

I plan on adopting an animal from one town to my other, and I don't want a swap of villagers. Punchy currently lives in Treehut, and I'm moving him permanently to Luminosa. In Luminosa, Deena is moving out. Punchy already pinged me to move out, so all that's left is TTing.

I plan on TTing to make Deena move out, change the day so I cover her old house spot, TT to Punchy's moving date in Treehut, then adopt him for Luminosa. Deena has already lived in Treehut, but I'm not sure if 16 villagers has moved out yet. Thou I highly doubt it. Basically, I don't want Deena to move in Treehut. Will she move in automatically due to me visiting the town, or will she stay out and final leave me alone?

If you haven't gone through the 16 villager cycle Deena won't automatically move back in.Since she used to live in Treehut does she appear on that town's Main Street?If she does then she definitely won't move in because she's still in your town's move out cycle.

I actually don't know if I have seen her on Main Street. I want to say atleast once.

I don't have Punchy's card, that's why I had to swap him. He moved in Treehut from the campsite I think, so I held him until Luminosa was ready to take him.

If Deena was already living in Treehut and you haven't been through the 16 villager cycle yet, then you should be safe. She won't be able to move back into Treehut until at least 16 more villagers have moved out unless you use her Amiibo card, which I'm sure you won't since you don't want her. LOL

I know this for a fact because my husband and I often end up swapping villagers, but when it comes time for them to move out again they never go back to the original town they came from. She could end up in one of your others towns, though, if you have an open space for her, so be careful when visiting or streetpassing with those towns.

Like it's been already said, if 16 hasn't moved out Treehut after Deena, you're fine. But I'm guessing you're unsure, since you're making this thread? If you're unsure and looking for the some kind of trick, the best recommendation is to find someone who can take Deena. But if it's hard, then I'd recommend this trick below. Though, I'm unsure if it still works after amiibo update. It worked before amiibo update.

1. Set the streetpass on in both consoles that you use for Treehut and Luminosa purposefully before the day Deena's house is gone.
2. Let her go and check if the 3DS notification. It possibly says you've got HHA showcase data. Then delete the streetpass data from system settings of the 3DS that has Treehut.
3. You talk to Digby, set the streetpass on again. And delete the streetpass data again 8 hours later.
4. You repeat this deleting at least 9 times. So Deena's data will be gone from the void for streetpass.

So far as I know, this is the only way you can do if no one is taking Deena and you want her gone for sure. Though, this method is on the base that you time travel. Because or else, how would it be possible to repeat deleting streetpass data like 10 times on the same day in the game, when it streetpasses every each 8 hours real time clock. (-_-;

I'm not sure like I said if it's still the same before update.
Btw, the streetpass data gives you 2 kind of different messages, when you just get HHA new house, and when you received voided villager too along with new house in showcase. The data you're supposed to delete is the second one. It's confusing af, actually...
