I'd really recommend an ipod "classic" over any of the newer ipods. and a nice case ($30 or so, hard case)

I've had mine for something like three years, maybe four? and the case has only left dust marks on the shiny innards.

80 gb = awesome. the new 160/250/whatever the biggest is now, OM*G ALL MUSIC IN THE HISTORY OF EVER IN UR PAWKIT. and videos. <3 them vidyas.
