This is what hackers DO. just give them some time to figure out how to get past something and they WILL. I only dislike hackers that hack SSBB and Mario Kart Wii cuz i never win because I like to play fair on MK Wii

Hahahah at all the people thinking this stopped anything. I already tested it out, it is easy to get around.

The HBC is NOT a program for hacking. The HBC is a program that allows you to run programs you wouldnt normally be able to run. I can use the DVD program to allow myself to play DVDs on my Wii. I can get onto youtube with the HBC. I can also play Homebrew games, such as Quake, Doom, Duck Hunt, Mahjong, Operation and so on. There are 2 programs that hackers use to cheat. These programs are Ocarina and Gecko. These are the cheating programs. NOT the HBC.

Yeah, there's a work around, but at the expense of formatting your Wii. You lose EVERYTHING.

Anyway, Nintendo banns hackers from, well, seeing if you hack or not. They only check WWs for signs of hacking, if they find hackers, they will ban the hacker's MAC ID, IP and Wii FC (along with all the game-specific FCs stored on that Wii FC.)

MAC ID - (Can not be changed)

This MAC ID is a few numbers and letters stored on your system. The MAC ID is kinda like the fingerprint for Wiis. Each Wii has an individual and unique MAC ID, and it can never be changed, doesn't matter if you format it, it never changes.

IP Address - (Can/Can't be changed, depending on the situation)

No need to explain this one, I assume everyone knows what it is, lol. People who use LAN adapters will most likely have a fixed IP address, one that never changes. Others may have fixed or dynamic IP addresses, dynamic mean the IP changes if you reset your Internet connection settings.

Wii FC - (Can be changed)

Everyone knows what this is. The Wii FC is that 16-digit number on your Wii, used to send Miis, letters and such. The Wii FC is used in all your Wii game save files, and it directly relates to the 12-digit FCs for specific WFC games such as MKWii and SSBB. The Wii FC can be changed by formatting. Upon formatting, you will get a new Wii FC.

So, what's the deal now?

IF YOU GET BANNED FOR HACKING, Nintendo bans all three of the above - MAC ID, IP address and Wii FC. The only way to get unbanned is if you get a new IP address and new Wii FC, because MAC ID don't change, and Nintendo doesn't care about MAC ID much. Calling Nintendo is your best bet though, but I heard that they only unban you ONCE, no second chances.

Analysis -

Situation A: Banned MAC + Banned IP + Banned FC = Blocked (20102)
This happens when Nintendo finds you hacking, and when they ban you for hacking this will be your status.
Examples: All newly banned hackers.

Situation B: Banned MAC + Banned IP + New FC = Blocked (20102)
This is when banned hackers with fixed IP formats their system. They get a new Wii FC, BUT their IP didn't change, and MAC ID can't be changed. The result? STILL BANNED! Examples: [Red]Yoshi, Kathy

Situation C: Banned MAC + New IP + New FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when banned hackers with dynamic IP formats their system. They get a new IP and a new Wii FC. They are now unbanned and free to go on WFC, but they are under high risk of getting banned again if they hack.
Examples: MrBean35000VR, ARM1

Situation D: Banned MAC + Unbanned IP + Unbanned FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when banned hackers call up Nintendo and request to get un-banned. After getting a lecture about the negatives of hacking online, they are un-banned and free to join WFC again. BUT their MAC ID are still listed as previously banned. When they are caught and banned for the second time, their ban will not be lifted.
Examples: R3LL|K, Sniglet

Situation E: New MAC + New IP + New FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when you buy a new Wii! WOOOT!
Examples: Don't need any.

You only get banned if you have a HBC ticket and go online with it.

You will only get banned if caught using ocarina or gecko online with the haxxx ticket

I tried it, already received the ban, and got around it already. As did Joe. And I did so without formatting my Wii. Also I have prevented future messages.
