You can read more about the attack on Westminster Bridge today on the BBC website here.
Today at around 14:40, a man in a Hyundai vehicle sped down Westminster Bridge and was described by eyewitnesses as "mowing down five people" before crashing his vehicle, stabbing pedestrians and then made his way into the New Palace Yard before being shot dead by two police officers. One of the casualties involved a woman who fell into the River Thames, it is unsure whether she was knocked in or if she jumped as the car sped towards her. She is being treated in hospital for serious injuries. Scotland Yard have confirmed that five people have died, including the attacker and about 40 people were injured in the attack, including three police officers.
I am expressing my condolences to anyone who was involved, I have a family member who was involved in London at the time. We aren't sure if they are safe just yet. Just wanted to have a discussion on whether anybody else has been affected by this and what this means for the future of Britain and the war against Islamic State (though it is worth noting that ISIS have not yet claimed responsibility for the attack). Do you think they are responsible for it?
Let's try to keep the discussion here civil, as people are injured and have died. I'm not trying to make another political argument.
