At least one real painting for every visit not guaranteed?

Redd visited again today. Was able to go aboard his boat to look at the four paintings available. Had a guide to check, but none of them were real. Is this common or a rare occurrence? If I remember correctly in NL there was always at least one real, it seems like this is no longer the case. How often does it happen?

One thing’s for sure, I’m not donating and learning about any new art pieces today. :’/

I don't think anyone is 100% sure right now, I imagine a lot of people have only had one or two visits (if they're lucky) - are you certain they were all fake? It's certainly a possibility, I suppose!

Even in New Leaf, there wasn't always a genuine piece of art. It doesn't happen often, but it can happen. That's why you have to be vigilant!

I think this happened on my brother's island last night. I checked each painting thoroughly and surely enough they were all fake. I, too, referenced a guide online to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me haha

It is possible for Redd to have all fakes, as well as to have multiple real paintings.

I time traveled to get him about 10 times, and 1 of the times all of them were fake and 2 times there were 2 real piece of arts. It certainly appears weighed to have most of the art be fake most of the time.

I wouldn’t be surprised considering there seems to be more than 1 version of a fake!

The only thing we can do is gather any evidence and analyse it from there, unfortunately there’s no mention of it in any official guidebooks so far.

My Redd had two reals today. Maybe my Redd got my fake and your real mixed up when he was visiting

Yesterday they all were fake. I thought there had to be at least one genuine so I got the famous painting. Lol nope. Fake too.

The differences are more subtle this time around, at least from the single time Redd has showed up on my island. I had to *really* look them over, and compare to the actual artworks, and I work for an art museum.
The like zoom-in view so you can play art detecective is extremely fun, imo

They were all fakes when he came to my island yesterday. Some of the fakes are hilarious though so I bought some anyway for my home and villagers homes. I don't mind taking a while to fill up my museum.
