No.

Taken from his wiki page:
"Known to many as a master swordsman, he has a nickname 'Adol the Red' because of his red hair."

In many regions in the Ys series red is a very rare hair color, especially as bright a red as Adol's, so it make sense for him to be given such a nickname.

Since Red/Blue were released, and Gen 3 (Ruby/Sapphire) for the shinies.
 
Here's a serious question:

How do you feel about trading tbt bells for products people use real money to buy? Isn't it sort of immoral? It's free currency, that you can get in copious amount simply by duping bells and then buying them. In that sense I'm glad they keep rising in price, though.

Its a means to an end. Different people justify it differently. I personally dont mind. As long as both parties agree, it should be fine. The same could be asked of things like Bitcoin.
