And that is also why it makes no sense. Many believe that one of the greatest gifts we were given was freewill.... Freewill doesn't exist if you are punished for certain choices.

Like I said, it is only to make dying easier. If you are set to believe you are going to heaven, then you will not only behave while you are here, but it helps you possibly not be as scared of it. So you can focus on your life rather than the ending of it. But I think it is a false sense of security.

It also in my opinion gives some sense of power.

I wouldn't be afraid of dying even if I wasn't a christian.

I'm not saying just being Christian.

I'm saying that believing that there is somesort of life after death helps make it easier for those when they pass. You say that you wouldn't be scared if you weren't Christian, but trying to put aside a set of beliefs, if only for a moment, to answer the question whether you would be scared or not is nearly impossible. IF questions like that are hard to answer, simply because we are almost always influenced by our inner thoughts and beliefs

the point is once your in heaven you wont WANT to eat b/c you'll be worshipping Jesus! and that might not sound exciting to you but based on what your saying you prob wont be there anyway unless you change your ways

We have ALL made those mistakes Sam. Just because you sin once doesn't mean you won't go to heaven. That is why Jesus died on the cross for you. If you sin you ask Him for forgiveness and He will forgive you. Nobody is perfect we will all make mistakes
