More people die from the regular flu, and I have that every single year. I see no reason to be so overly concerned. Last time I checked, we were in a recession, our healthcare system was broken, our environment was teetering on the brink of destruction, and proliferation and violence ran rampant worldwide and in our own country. But who cares when 800 people have been killed by a flu?

Usually, vaccines don't help. If your immune system can't fight a regular virus off on it's own, then injecting yourself with a small dose of the deadly virus can actually kill you. It has happened before. 2/3 people who got the flu vaccine got the flu. I've only had the flu 2 times in my life, and the first was when I got the vaccine.

So to answer your question, no, I will not get it.

No I will not get vaccinated. The swine flu is seriously no bigger than the regular flu virus. I'm a nurse and see no need in getting it. Like Storm said, the vaccine caused more deaths that the actual flu did. It's just a money maker.

Update on my previous statement. Apparently, they have found a pig that contracted H1N1 right here in Minnesota. Since I eat pork fairly regularly, I'll probably get it to air on the side of caution.
