Are you planning any sort of special event on your island? A special pink balloon-filled area decorated for Feb 14? Giving your villagers presents? Redecorating all their rooms with something special? Sending a love-filled limerick to your favorite animals?
I don't celebrate Valentine's Day at all in real life but I wanted to do something memorable with my islanders. So I take them to Harvey's Island for photoshoots and create cards of them. Just for fun! I post one a day on my journal. Something like these.
I'll give each of them a Chocolate heart or a Heart-shaped bouquet. iirc, they have special dialogue if they are gifted that, and they'll only display the goodies on their houses for a short period, so it's all fine.
I don't think I ever celebrated Valentine's Day in AC, but now I'm thinking about sending a "love letter" to my favorite villager, Apollo. ^^
Also, those post cards are just too cute!! I love 'em, such a great idea.
I already made a journal entry on all of my villagers in CF NL and NH in the past so maybe I should update them and re do them! Maybe I can even do one for my WW villagers too!
i actually don’t think i’ve ever done anything for valentine’s day in animal crossing, but this has inspired me to change that. i probably still won’t do much, but i’ll at least send a card to each of my villagers.
I'm working during the day and then taking my girlfriend out for dinner straight after, so I hope my islanders aren't expecting to be wined and dined this year.
I don't even celebrate Valentine's Day IRL. I just don't see a need to when I'm in a rocky relationship to begin with. I can just never get in the spirit, so I tend to just skip over Valentine's Day in-game too.
