I don't think we have a thread about university (for our older users, of course)

Which university are you currently/have you studied at and what did you study?

I went to Leeds uni last year to study tourism but I dropped out because I didn't like the city. I've reapplied to a few different more local universities this year and have yet to hear back!

I study Criminology - just coming up to the end of my first year.
Hope you get into where you wanna go!!

I'm in third year, studying filmmaking & screenwriting.

Even though I'm in third year this has only been my first year actually studying at a university. I did a two year HND in Media and Communication before getting direct entry into third year. I didn't have the grades to go straight into uni because I dropped out of school. At 18 I enrolled at a further education college, studying for two years there to get school equivalency qualifications, before switching to a different college to do the HND which then made me eligible to apply for third year entry for this course.

i'm in international relations with a german language minor. finally graduating this june!

i was supposed to start university in autumn 2014 but i had to defer for medical reasons
i had a conditional offer to cambridge for architecture that i met my conditions for, and that was my original choice, but now i've changed my mind and i'm hoping to re-apply to the university of edinburgh

Good luck with your application :-)

So sort of like a foundation year, only rather it was 2 years long and you set it up yourself?
I've been looking into foundation years at significantly better Universities than my current UCAS offers, and the problem I'm having is that most of them are for international students, and since picking up better English skills is a key part of the foundation courses they'd be totally unsuitable for me, since I'm a UK native.

I got BBD, which is enough to get into a first year traditional undergrad course, but I also know it should be enough to get into a foundation year course at a better University, which would then lead to a significantly better course at a much better University given that I pass.

argh! I wonder if foundation courses go into clearing alongside all the others...

Good luck! I knew a mutual friend that goes to Edinburgh!

Ye I'm an English Lit major

I want a post-graduate degree in Psychology though. Would really like being a psychotherapist or something like that

Fourth year mechanical engineering, english & cultural studies double major. This is the last year of my undergrad, then two years of masters for engineering after that.

I'm applying this year in the autumn time. :P So I've got to look around soon... I'm hoping to study Japanese.

I first studied political science, then got my Master's in public policy/international development.
Currently considering taking some communications and fundraising classes.

I'm in my second year at my university and I'm studying business right now. I just switched to business so maybe later on I'll find a certain topic to specialize in.
