Not sure about Time Traveling, but from what I heard about the cupcakes; it depends on how fast you knock down the pinata. I got 8 back on mines.

You are! I time travelled to my birthday in 2020 and was able to complete the full event even though my birthday happened before the game was released. You should be able to take part in the event no problem!

i wish i could give cupcakes to tom, timmy, timmy, isabelle, sable & mable & blathers , though... they're missing out...

i gave bubbles, marina, sally, blanche, ketchup & julian cupcakes, already ... i gave bubbles my cupcake, though...

so if i do get 6 again, i'm sure it's fine :3
