I previously bought one of the crowns full price from the Able Sisters, and now there is a throne for 800,000 bells in the Emporium. I just wanted to know if buying these items are even worth it? I'd rather not spend the bells, but I'm not actually sure how much I could resell them for. Do you guys buy these items to resell them or do you just keep them in your house?

I bought the crown just because it looked adorable and I really wanted it, but my jaw almost dropped at the price of it... but my crown has been carried on, with thanks to an old friend of mine, through 3 different town resets, because I didn't want to save up and buy one all over again later. :x I've yet to see a throne though, but even if I see one I don't know if I'll bother getting it.

Sometimes on a meteor shower, try pressing A right when a star appears. You might get a free throne in the mail the next day!
Yeah, I also liked the crown, but I'm not feeling as excited about that throne, so i'll probably just pass.

I mean, if you don't want to buy them, then don't. If you keep at the game, you'll eventually hit a point where you have more Bells than you can spend and it won't matter. But if you want an easy way to get the throne besides Wishy, just do some nice favors for your villagers. If you do things like give them Perfect Fruit and do their petitions and wait until they're good friends with you and start to visit you at home, they tend to either give out Spotlight items (of which the Throne is one) or items that you don't have in your catalog.
I kind of see the Crowns and the Thrones as sort of an in-joke in the AC series. They're just regular items yet are absurdly expensive, and buying them can be seen as a goal. I bought both the Crowns to wear since I've never been able to buy them before in previous games, so it's something of a personal triumph, haha. They're worth it. Some people covet them, and you can sell it to them at a profit.

They're worth it if you want them to be. In other words, if you plan on using them or want to resell them at a profit, then they're worth it. If you're not interested in doing either of those things, then it's not worth buying them just to say you have.

I'd say if you're rich off of duping, Villager trading or turnips, rare items can be worth it just as bling or things that look nice in your house. If you can barely afford a crown though, you're better off ignoring it unless you're really sure you want it.

I did spend 2 hours getting 150 medals for the chest
As for the crowns I'll probably have them in display somewhere in a pirate/gold set theme room (if everything fits ><)
