Are there different types of villagers within the same personality type?

I have both Derwin and Paolo (both lazy villagers), but I swear they act very differently (and thus, give out different dialogue options as well!).

I’m very surprised — 5 years playing this game and still bumping into seemingly new things?

I just read that seemingly each personality has two distinct groups! Pretty neat

On Nookipedia, it lists villager personalities as having type A and B in NH, but I can't find a page about exactly what the differences are. I've had villagers of the same personality but one type A and one type B, and it does seem that they have different sets of dialogue. There are certain things each one would say that the other did not, but the greetings/more generic dialogue was the same.

So, there are 2 subtypes like you said, but I would love to know more specifically what the differences are.
