Are my villagers too boring?

I made a list of dreamies and I’ve noticed that most of them are not brightly coloured and that they mostly have bored/sad expressions.

Smug: Marshal (I hadn’t planned on keeping him but I’ve fell in love haha)
Raymond (sorry hehe)

Lazy: Papi
Stitches

Cranky: Dobie

Jock: Billy

Normal: Coco
I also really like Stella and I have a soft spot for sheep villagers but I wouldn’t know who to get rid of :/

Peppy: Ruby (I was debating Ruby or Ketchup Hmmmm....)

Uchi: Katt (I originally wanted Paula but now I’m leaning towards Katt)

Snooty: Violet (I know not a popular opinion, but I had her in City Folk and I hated her, so now I kinda want her back haha)


What do you think about my choices... be honest. I wanted 1 of every species but it’s not ended up that way I’m worried that because some are expressionless that they’ll not give any character when walking around my island.

all up to you, personally I don't think so. Ruby and Stitches have nice, bright designs, while Coco is neutral and Marshall/Raymond have a similar scheme. violet is kinda funky looking too

the only thing that matters is that you like them! if it bothers you that there aren't a lot of vibrant colors, then you can switch a couple of them out for brighter villagers, but imo the most important thing is that you yourself like the villager's design.

I find Coco and Billy to be a bit on the scary side, Stitches and Marshal are my best buddies. I can't really comment on whether they're boring or not because at the end of the day, the villagers you pick are your personal preference and what I have to say shouldn't mean anything.

Honestly, I ADORE your list. Like truly. I wouldn't say they are boring but to each their own.
That would def be a list of villagers I would want on my island.
I love sheep too and Stella is one of the best- if I HAD to sub her for one, it would be Papi just because he's a dup personality for a dup, but ya know.

Well, most of them are pretty popular. But, if you feel the need to ask if your villagers are boring, I think that maybe your subconscious is not liking something about them.

The personality options look varied to me, I'm sure it won't be.
But it all boils down to what you think rather than what people think. I mean, HECK, I have 3 smugs and 2 normals! I'm never bored with them at all. If you think your roster is boring you, switch them up! Otherwise, just have fun with them.

Not at all! You have a few that I absolutely adore like Marshal, Stitches, Coco and Dobie.

I really like your choices! Honestly, sometimes I’m worried about my villagers as well, as I happen to like a lot of popular ones. It makes me feel unimaginative or basic, but the thing is no one has the same relationship with them as I do! The same goes for your villagers, they’re unique because they’re in your town and are your friends.

You're fine. I don't think there's such a thing as having villagers that are "too boring". The villager choices that you make are purely your own -- embrace them.

I actually really like your lineup.
I have Violet's amiibo and have been contemplating inviting her. For now, I went with Velma who is also pretty cool.
Katt is my favorite uchi.

I, personally, prefer Ketchup over Ruby but that's just a personal choice.
