Are mums the rarest native flower?

is this true? i have them as native flower, and i hated it at first but it grew on me as soon as i saw the pink & purple hybrids.... i thought cosmos are much rare? i don't know anyone who even has them in their nooklings
Interesting, I have cosmos as my native. Never even seen mums though.

I dont have native mums but i do agree that i very rarely see anyone with native mums. I thought native lilies were super rare until my friend got them when she bought the game. Never seen native cosmos and i also have yet to get any seeds because of it lol

My island is littered with mums! I didn't realize they were rare though.

I thought roses were the least common but I could be wrong.
There was a user poll/thread back in the early first 3 days of release and iirc at that point (in this community obviously) Mums were around middle tier of frequency. Lilies were around the lowest and it’s certainly been my experience that they were the most difficult to find/trade for.
Not sure there’s actual game based different probabilities for getting them as native flowers though, seems like that would be a bizarre developer choice.

My native is windflowers. I don't think native flowers are "rare" per say. There's 8 types of flower types in the game and only 2 of them are your possible flowers that can grow (one exclusive to islands). There might be some chance to have others more often than others but I haven't seen any of the flowers being "rare" per say, allot of people on discord have them as their natives XD

Mums are my native. I figured all flowers were like fruit in that its all RNG and no flower is rarer than another
I've seen this claim made a lot of times but I have second island that I reset a lot to get all of the flowers I was missing and ended up getting all flower types despite using the same birthdate and hemisphere with all of them.
