Are mums the rarest native flower?

I actually had assumed they were the most common, before I saw a lot of people with different ones. Myself and two of my siblings all have mums as our native flowers.

It is based off your birthday and draws from a pool of three possible natives. If you search area both on here and other places there are people who have made lists for it.

Well my husband has them as his native flower. his birthday is in november. maybe there simply aren't too many people with birthdays in that month so they seem "rare"?

Hm, that's interesting. I have them and my birthday is in January, so maybe it isn't your birthday considering there are 8 different types of flowers so a 3 month spectrum seems a bit long (unless it was different birth dates?)

The mystery grows! ehehe~ that is quite interesting

Yeah, I'm not sure it has anything to do with birthday month. I have mums and my birthday is in October, but this is my second island (I reset when my new switch arrived since we can't transfer save data for AC - thanks Nintendo). My first one, I had hyacinths (with the same birthday, ofc).

I have mums and my birthday is in August. In my first island, I had cosmos even with the same birthday.

I don’t think one flower is more rare then the others because in the poll seems like there still has a good spread of flowers. I think it depends on who you ask, in this community’s market they do seem rare. Also seen posts by people that are surprised when someone is looking for mums and roses and lilies because that their native or one of the flowers in their nook and didn’t really think about it. I am curious if the official companion guide says anything on this? So as of right now don’t believe the whole birthday thing(my doesn’t match up)

Everyone I know IRL has them as native, including me.

November is 9 months after February and therefore Valentine's Day. There are a LOT of people with late November birthdays. ;)

My birthday is in August and I have cosmos. Buyeable flowers are hyacinths and windflowers.

In my friend group we're totally lacking cosmos and lillies, but I think 1 or 2 people have mums!
