Are amiibo villagers less likely to move out in ACNH?

Do invited amiibo characters ask to leave the island in the same way as other villagers, or are they less likely to think about leaving? I think they are less likely in other versions of the game, but not sure here. Thanks!

I think it’s all random, only thing I can attest to is that the villager who moves in last (whether by amiibo or island hopping) is far less likely to decide to move. I say it doesn’t happen but others say they have had it happen, even though I don’t believe them.

Avery keeps asking to move more than others right now for me and he moved in via amiibo

I think Amiibo or not, it doesn't matter, from what I learned, it has to do with friendship. If you have a villager that you talk to every day, and then one that you avoid, the one you avoid will most likely want to move.

Thanks, very helpful! Just wanted to make sure they could still (in theory) leave naturally - sounds like it's no different 🙏

I don't think this is accurate.
Plenty of people complain that the villagers they gift and don't ignore tend to ask to leave sometimes more than the villagers they ignore (or even bully lmao)

I think its all random! A villager can also have a very high level of friendship w/you and still ask to leave.

As for the amiibo characters, I haven't noticed a difference!
They are just as likely to ask to leave as non amiibo ones from my experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have a couple villagers that I invited with their amiibo card and they ask to move just as much as the ones that I found without a card.

It's happened to me many, many times.

I don't believe in giving false information.

I got Raymond recently, and he asked to move within a week.

I remember Wolfgang also wanting to move when he was the last villager I amiibo'd in.

I believe in New Leaf, Amiibo villagers would not move. In New Horizons, they can move, but just like every other villager, they will ask before doing so.

As far as the actual rate goes, I'm not totally sure as I only have a couple of scanned in villagers. Marshal has asked me to move twice, and I've had him since April I believe. That matches up with Marina, who I ran into an island in spring and has also asked to move twice. Bob has never asked to move, and he was also one of my first villagers (March/April). It might be less of a chance, but it's not significantly low enough that you'll never see it. I'm sure if I was using cycling methods, I'd be able to move Bob out, too (but why would I ever do that? :P).

I think the villager that decides to move out is randomly selected and isn't directly tied to friendship. I think the only rule the game plays by is that you can't naturally have the last villager who moved in be the next one to want to move out, but of course you can change that with things like campsite/Amiibo move-ins.

Hope this helped!

The last villager to move in CAN be the next to ask to move out as stated above.

Many people have had this happen.

Just google it.

Very interesting! I think that wasn't the case in NL, but glad to see they changed that for NH. Nothing like forgetting you had an open plot and ending up with a less than wanted random move in haha.

I'm not sure if that's a fact if villagers want to leave less than in game villagers. I mean you don't have a bid deal a friendship when they first come in so they will be less likely to want to leave.
