Anything new that you don't like?

There is probably going to be some sort of system in your town. Yay new surprises :3 Or maybe the return of the telephone or something...

So far the museum looks like it might let you sell things.

Don't you just cross the train tracks to get to the city? Or do you have to train some sort of transportation like in city folk?

I meant more along the lines of loading screens. You just walk across, but you'll have to load the city since it's a separate section of the game.

I don't like that Nook's store is in the city. Going to take a lot longer to sell things.

one of the trailers or somewhere said you can pick which stores are in your town, so you probably have a limit and can pick stores from the mall to place in your town.

Could you please find it for me?
If it's true then that makes me feel better about it.

Sure, I know it was posted on a thread somewhere here, but it's been so chaotic with discussion lately, but I remember hearing about it making me think we just pluck stores out of the mall to place in our town, I think it really only said we get to choose which businesses set up in town or something, I will do my best in finding it, it might be on youtube too, not sure.

I think it was the June trailer that had that. Shizu asks the mayor (you) if this is where you want your cafe placed.

In one of the videos it lookds like you sell stuff at tommy and timmy's. I think Tom Nook's shop is just for upgrading or changing your house.

No it was something more recent, it didn't show it, it described it.

I remember seeing it as well...and I did check the June trailer, but it wasn't there and I cannot remember exactly which other one it could be. Except for the latest trailer, there isn't any other "action" type trailers made more recently than June, though, so it must be an older one.

It is. But the name of the store is still Nook's since Tommy and Timmy are Nook's nephews, and assuming they have the same last name.

There's nothing that I don't like at the moment that isn't any form of nitpicking. Probably the wait is what I don't like.

Nothing really. I like the idea of being the mayor after thinking about it for a while. I just wonder how neighbors will work, will we have to pre-approve who we want or will they be preselected(i hope). I always like the surprise of seeing who my neighbors are.

From the trailer of the start of the game, the neighbors were already there to greet you when you get off of the train.

I don't want to choose the neighbors, that would ruin the entire game.

What do you think about neighbors who move in after? Kinda makes me wonder. I still hope its all at random.

I think it'll stay the same as it's always been.
Just because you're mayor doesn't mean you can decide who can or can't own a house in your town. You just have the authority to host events, improve the features of the town such as placing objects, and deciding on what sort of town you would like to have.

Hmmmm......So far it's a nice game!I guess I'm going to miss Tortimer.....I hope he will be around to instruct us!I also don't like that you can only get model homes via streetpass since I,too, live in a small town!:(Everything else is great for me!

The model homes area works with Streetpass and Wifi.
The difference is, the only way it'll work with Wifi is if you have friends added. So it'll show your friend's homes.

I think this game is going to be awesome! I guess the thing that I don't like is that the people aren't as adorable, tiny, and cute as they used to be. The weird thing is though that I love the idea of having longer bodies and being able to accessorize more.... So I guess I'm just not used to the look of them yet?

It is definitely something to adapt to. When I first saw the new characters myself I thought they looked ********, but I've grown to the look of the humans. Makes more sense -- same goes for the animals. It was always awkward in Wild World having really short, really fat elephants. I love the new animal sizes. :) Now we can look forward to even cutter chipmunks!
