I feel like a thread was made like this but I didnt see any ;o;
I was just curious if anyone still plays? I just downloaded it again yesterday and spent today farming - sigh xD- gw2 so much farming. I used to do WVW all the time but WvW is a bit dead (atleast on my server) since mostly everyone is taking it easy until the new expansion pack comes out.
I spent probably 5-6 hours farming today so far, It really payed off I made a ton of Gold. I had about 400 g before I left and wdf did I do with it I will never know - cries- but I went from 57 Silver to 85g o_o Sadly to trade gems to gold is ridiculous now, It is like 14g per 100 or something along that, I was looking at the armor skins and 800 gems is 120g ;_: -sigh lol. The game has changed a lot since I played about a year ago? give or take. A new farming area came out in November? And it is the go to place to farm, Called the SilverWaste, It is basically a entire rotation around the map of events - A bit confusion for me atm- But they have Chest farming so join a party and go farming ;-; ~ It gets boring if you're alone running around with the zerg getting loot chest, It is pretty freakin easy but You really need someone with you or boredom xD
My achievement points are so low now compared to everyone on my friendlist dude, I have about 5.5k? While most of my friends have 10k, 15k, 22k ;o; -cry- xD
I last played probably about a year ago give or take- Ascended waepons came out recently. I actually found a Greatsword for my Mesmer within the first week and I was happy- woot-

-The Ui has changed, The Hero's information has changed- nods- A bit confusion for me xD Umm Dyes now show you what dyes you dont have - thats nice-
You can put the option to highlight new items and to show item rarity, The outline will be to the corresponding rarity.
-You can unlock skins for armor and by using a transmutation charges you can always have that skin unlocked on your character- REALLY NICE IF YOU BUY GEM ARMOR/CLOTHES- You can also have gem outfits as a costume over your armor so that is really nice, I can use my pirate outfit over my armor :3~
--That happened when I was still playing but it was a nice update, All gold/ Tokens/ badges karma is shared between characters and there is no bank to put gold in- I feel temptation when I see how much gold I have sometimes xD-
- Added before I left, by savagaing items you get luck essences which give you more MF/ Karma bonus exp and gold bonus I believe( no more MF gear) yay, you can have some really high mf now, I have about 150 base I think?
- A bunch of other things, but I dont remember what else like a major change to make the game more helpful ;o;
If you guys still do play or played, can I get your thoughts!? I always liked gw2 for WVW until a my server becomes a megaserver and rip 100 man zergs all the time.
I'm not sure how much longer I will play honestly, I played GW2 With a nice balance of PvE Farmign during the afternoon and WVW from night to early morning, and well WVW Is something I always enjoyed with my guild but they said wvw is a bit dead and so is the guild atm until the expansion/summer when kids are of fof school.
I always farmed to get gold for better gear for WvW but now I dont know what to do, mindlessly farming all day isnt the more enjoyable thing to do.

It was alright I guess...I played it at launch but I grew tired of it within about a month.

I usually play MMO's for the endgame PvP content but I also enjoy leveling to that point and earning my gear as well. Guild Wars 2 obviously threw that out of the window by maxing your level cap for PvP and throwing you a standardized set of gear. You got visual upgrades, sure, but they're just irrelevant 'fluff'.

I don't mind being 'standardized', in fact, I prefer it since it makes PvP more skill based than gear based. A lot of the fun is taken away from that though when you can skip the leveling process entirely. To me, not having to earn those levels and gear made the character feel like a 'stock' character I didn't enjoy using as much and not having to work towards my preferred end game (PvP) made the leveling process irrelevant.

I liked WoW's recent system. Level to the cap as usual, earn honor points by doing PvP or trading Justice points and buy your standardized PvP gear with them. It wasn't a perfect system but I at least felt like I had accomplished something when I stood there at level 90 (the level cap when I last played) with a full set of gear I had actually earned. When I wrecked people in arena, it felt more 'satisfying' with a character I worked on, which is where Guild Wars 2 fell flat for me.

I see what you mean-nods-,
Gw2 has 2 verisons of PVP though, WvW and just standard sPvP ( Well in this case Structured)
With sPvP it is its own thing, You level up again by doing Spvp against people alone or in groups and you buy gear using the points you earn from it ^^it even has its own MMR( usually you guys have the same build completely), so it is basically skill matchup
Now I know Gw2 came out with Ascended gear, higher than The extoic that you usually bought with Gold or karma. Ascended gear isnt the easiest or cheapest thing to make actually it is freakin expensive, you have a chance of finding a box drop but is is rare, myself only found the Greatsword Drop. You can also make your awesome legendary weapons, My friend Elaine would just spend all her time farming, last time I talk to her she made her 7th legendary xD it takes her about 2 months per.

My dad is actually obsessed with Guild Wars. There was a family clan we had going with aunts and uncles and cousins. I haven't played GW2 for a long time though (so much that I got booted outta my family's guild... Lolz) last I remember playing was during Wintersday 2013 because I love love love the snowball fights and Lions Arch during Christmas is my favorite.

Maybe I should reinstall the game and see what I was doing last. But MMOs are such an addiction. Lolz

Got booted our your own family guild... Well if they cant kick you out the fmaily IRL they can in the guild!
xD Gw2 is all farming until the HoT Expansion pack later this year

Ikr? Lol it makes for awkward thanksgiving conversation since everyone talks about guild wars and I'm like "..."

I didn't give myself any time to try pvp yet since I mostly did adventures with the family. ill prolly look into the news of guild wars 2 and see if I should get back into it.

There's a bunch of new stuff coming out with the expansion pack with the long awaited crafting precursors that they stated were going to be released late August 2013 >3> (liars lol). .They're changing the Trait system, giving new weapons to classes( well allowing other classes to have more weapons) like Ele's are going ot be able to use swords. Bunch of other stuff, I havent read all the details yet myself.
Just note if you get back into gw2 its probably best to farm because noone knows whats going to happen with legendaries and it could be less pricey so xD FARM - cries-
