Anyone know if breeding flowers is different in this game?

Was wondering if anything has changed with the breeding of flowers? or is it still the same, putting 2 of the same species next to each other and watering

I got a blue windflower from two white ones (pretty sure but there was a red flower right by) yesterday, so I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same but it should be similar enough.
