First of all, you must download iTunes

Then have your music ready.

Now, upload your music to iTunes and right-click on it.

In the menu, select convert to AAC.

Then put the music in the root of your SD card.

Thats the point.Doesn't your SD card need to pop up or an icon needs to come?
No, you have to go to the Sound channel and select "Play with your music"

In your computer are you using an internal or external SD card reader?

I had trouble copying files to an SD card once and some cheap external SD card readers don't let you write, just read.

Now, I don't anything about DSi, but if it works as an mp3 player, then all you should have to do is copy the mp3's and then let the DSi read it and play your music.

I hope I helped you.

It doesn't read MP3's, it only reads AAC formats.
