i've never purposefully left but i've been so inactive that i haven't posted in months, but otherwise not really, i've been consistent for like 8 years which is mad

well I made my account in October 2011, then I made like 6 posts between then and about Feb 2012. I pretty much stopped after that, only becoming active again in 2015 to get in touch with the online NL community and to get one of my villagers back. then I really became active again in July 2016 and I haven't quit since.

so technically no, I haven't taken any breaks from this forum. I was only insctive for about 5 years. I honestly love it here, everyone is so friendly and I can actually talk to people here without being so nervous.

I took a couple of weeks off after the Halloween event as I wasn't happy with the results, but you live and learn. Haven't been on this board nearly as long as others here, so still time left to take a year or two away!

It kinda saddens me, being active then not being active because it reflects how attached I am to the game. Right now, I’ve found new challenges to defy myself but I don’t really feel that sense of family or community that many people have found.

Yes I have! Just work/life stuff getting in the way, usually. I started using TBT back around 2012 or so, but back then I'd ditch old usernames and start new profiles on here, as well as on other sites. When I made this account, I decided this one was for good, no more starting over LOL.

Yup! I created the account in 2015, did a bit then forgot all about it till 2016. Then life happened and I didn’t come back till a few days ago.

I've definitely taken a break for a year or so, after getting the items and things I'd need I'd end up just disappearing. Before NH even came out and I was all done w/ my NL island and could hack as well, I didn't really come here anymore. After the biggest update I came to find items I needed and help others out as well with all the extras I have and am able to get. I'll most likely disappear again eventually but I feel like it's normal here if you come for the game content rather than the forum itself/people (like if you have super good friends on here and just talk to them here only). That, and I'm not heavily into collectibles so that might also keep a lot of others around more. Regardless, I do feel like I always come back as well.

Yeah, many times. I've been a member since 2013 and have not been active for most of that time. Usually only here when I'm heavily playing the game and wanting to acquire stuff for my island.

during prime new leaf 2013/2014 i hyperfixated on this site and was super active then i got eventually got bored of new leaf and only recently came back because the 2.0 update made me hyperfixate on ac again

I started here playing wild world with some friends, and I pretty much leave when I stop playing for a while and return when a new game has released. This community has always been cool!

yes ive taken a few extended absences over the years, but not since new horizons came out. i dont expect to take another one, but i guess you never know what life will throw at you. tbt and talking to friends ive made here is pretty much one of the only ways i socialize now so i dont have plans to leave

I’ve only been here for a year and a half, but I can’t imagine taking a break. This site has honestly become a part of my daily routine. I always look forward to participating in forum games or contributing to a thread in The Lounge. Sometimes I’ll have a bad experience, but it’s never enough to make me want to leave.

Not sure if this counts but... I used to lurk this forum back in 2013 because I was looking for an active Animal Crossing New Leaf community. I registered but never posted.

Then New Horizons came. I registered March 2020 and been very active since then.

I’ve taken several years off too. Mostly because I wasn’t playing animal crossing for a while. But I’ve picked it back up and so here I am!
I see so many new collectibles it makes my heart melt.
