Anyone else use weeds for decoration?

I've purposely picked & replanted weeds around my farm area to make it look like they are plants growing. The farming items are limited so I had to get creative. Too bad I can't replant them on a custom design.

I have to repick them everytime they grow up a size but I don't mind.

Anyone else have examples of decorating outside with weeds?

that’s really creative! i personally haven’t used weeds for decorating (i might in my mythical forest, though) but i’ve seen some people put weeds on their beach and i honestly think that’s really pretty! this kind of inspired me to put some weeds in my mini mermaid cove area to try and look like seaweed - it might not pass well but it could look nice!

I try to use a little bit of them everywhere as I'm going for a partially natural island. I just let them grow mostly wherever.

I haven't -yet- but I think I might! I just redid my forest area and, while I LOVE it, I feel it's missing a little something. So I might try some weeds and bushes, once Leif shows up with some nice ones.

Also, that farm is ADORABLE. I've low-key been considering doing a farm, but I don't have room at the moment

The combo of mums and fencing reminded me soooo much of "Plants vs. Zombies" lol
So far, I only have weeds in my "forest" area, I think full grown weeds are really pretty, but I haven't found a better purpose for them...

I had a ton of clovers everwhere back when it was still spring! I picked them when the season changed, though - I knew there were seasonal weeds but I was so sad when they turned into plain old leaves lol When the fall/winter weeds come around I'll probably put them back up, though, those ones are so pretty...

you can always use a completely transparent custom pattern around your weed to keep them in place, they cant grow through it.I use that for my flowers

Definitely test out some weeds in your forest area. They are the cherry on top.

I use weeds a lot, they make the forest areas a lot more cozy. If you combine them with green mums and/or lily of the valley, it really comes together. Thankfully if you have a balance of weeds vs flowers, you can still have a 5 star rating.

Just wish you could stunt their growth, so they stay as long grass or clovers.

I read a -rumor- somewhere (didn't save the link, no clue how accurate it is) that someone found coding suggesting we may get the following in a future update-

Island vegetables, similar to fruits, where we'd all get native vegetables but could get and grow veggies from other islands, too. Again, very similar to fruit... and, again, I saw it on website so I'm not sure how accurate it is but BOY would it be cool and perfect for farms!

I'm kinda hesitating to build a farm until we know more about that maybe being true or not

The fall weeds are really pretty. They look like wheat.

I let weeds grow around my campsite and around Camofrog's house. Both are kind of tucked into isolated corners behind some trees, to make them look unkempt/wild. I thin out the most crowded areas or tallest weeds whenever Leif comes by. Not that he pays you all that much, it's just a good reminder.

I think I read it from the datamine that Ninji searched, and he seems to have been right in everything until now so I'd say it's pretty accurate (and mostly I really hope it is).

Wow I really hope this ends up being true. I want my islands vegetable to be carrots haha.

I'm not sure but my island was covered in weeds from crazy time travelling and the lily of the valleys were still popping up along my cliffs.

Hmm, I might do this then, because my yellow hyacinths have been breeding like crazy, or I can wait for the farming update. I heard that one of the crops were wheat, so it would be perfect for my countryside.

Beautiful & cute farm! I seriously hope they do add more food furniture and food that you can grow or acquire as well. I have a little countryside area and have two fenced areas with flowers in them, which I’d like to replace to turn it into small farm as well.
