To be honest, I don't really have dreamies. On my first island, I had pressure on my shoulders because I wanted a mythological city, with different parts and of course, different villagers. For example, Apollo should be great in my Greek pantheon and Marshal in my Norse one as a little Ratatoskr. But... finally, when I went to mystery islands, I've seen good villagers too but I refused to take them because of my theme, always my theme. I restarted to just have fun and forget that bad time. Maybe could I restart this idea in the future ? But now, I just chill.
Of course I have a lot of villagers I really like. Of course some are cuter than others. But finally, I don't want the same city as everybody else, without personnality. I don't want a villager because he's cute and nothing more than that. It's maybe hypocritical in one way but... that's ok. I'm happy with that !
maple, fauna, sucker, marina, diana, and coco can stay (maybe chevre,, i'm too attached to her) ;; otherwise simon (random move-in i want to get rid of hhng), cookie and merengue (who's leaving 2day!!) can move out c:
i only want 9 residents on my island, wish i had known we didn't have to have 10 to move someone out so that i could have stopped at 6 but oh well.
i have a lot of villagers that i like and it's tough to choose only 9 but my ocd is too severe to allow random move ins.
i like the idea of not having 'set' villagers on your island and letting them leave as they please, wish i could do that!
I have like 4 true permanent villagers (I hate the word dreamie lol) and my other 6 are just villagers I enjoy having around that I don't plan on replacing easily. I wouldn't be opposed if we had the villager limit upped to 12 though.
I have that same feeling too. I feel like if my whole island is filled with my dreamers then it would get boring really quickly. Since I don’t want to experience that, I opt out to only have two to three dreamies at a time and the rest are just villagers that I like/find cute. Buuuuut, only 1 villager is a permanent one and that’s Goldie. She’s my all time favourite and I love her to bits
I like too many villagers to have dreamies haha. I don't really have dreams, however, I do have a group on my island that I will keep for a while. They are Iggly (he's staying forever), Marshal, Ike, and Whitney.
I plan on having five "lock-ins" and cycling out the other five. I like changing my town up a bit.
I don’t have “dreamies” per se, but I have villager I know I will NEVER allow to leave my island lol like Judy and Marshal. I do tend to get tired of seeing the same faces, so I like to mix things up.
I just really enjoy not planning on getting 10 dream villagers bc I love the experience of finding villagers and seeing how my opinions of them end up. For example, Dizzy was one of the first villagers I found on an island in game. I had no opinions on him at first and didn’t plan on keeping him, but now he’s my absolute favorite! I like having the game lead me to find new “dream villagers” instead of just deciding who I like based on my initial opinion of villagers.
i kind of get what you mean! most villagers i have are bc i've already decided get in my town no matter what, like punchy, lolly, marshal, filbert, dobie, chief, and vivian! i always leave a couple slots open and they were taken this time around by bob and genji! they've never been original dreamies of mine but they're such sweethearts
I never really thought I had dreamies or anything like that but I've found that certain villagers I planned to let go like Nibbles, Beardo, Amelia, and Dom... are actually becoming kind of hard to let go! I was planning to let these guys move out when they asked and I couldn't do it. Told myself, "I'll just keep them for a little while longer."
I have some amiibos now of villagers I'd like have but I feel sad letting these villagers go who have been on my island for awhile.
I have a few that I looked for, but other than that I'm just seeing who I run into. I kinda don't want everything in my town to be meticulously planned haha and I like the idea of having the chance to find someone who I'd never thought I'd like.
