anyone else NOT burned out?

I really should be burnt out by now tbh. My island is pretty much complete, my house done and paid off. I've completed the art, fossil, bug, and fish section of my museum. I paid to catalog all the furniture. So by all means, I should be burnt out because I don't have much left to do.

But right now, I'm just trying to do the small things. I'm trying to get all of the zodiac fragments. Get all of the DIYs. Complete the stamp for Nook Miles. I'm also letting some villagers move away so I can fresh faces in and then decorate their yards. That's what I've been doing lately (:

Still going strong. I still need art. I get pascal with my 2 residents everyday and when I do get bored am gonna TT back to the events that happened before I bought the game, like egg day

Apparently I'm burnt out, so I stopped for a week and I got some of my motivation back to play.
I finally got to fix my island and get rid of some of the pesky flowers.

I felt burnt out during my first week of playing the game in late May because I was of the mindset that I needed to finish everything asap. However, after accepting that this game is meant to be played at my own pace, I've been a lot happier while playing it. This game is a huge help in getting me through the work week (I play for 1-2 hours before work then another 2-3 hours at night, depending on what's on my to-do list for the day).

I work 9-5:30 remotely, so I can't play as much as I want to because there is simply so much to do, I love interacting with my villagers, diving is so relaxing. I'm crossing my fingers for Gullivarrr to show up for the first time tomorrow or on Friday and for the last fossil I need to complete that section of my museum. I'm also going to start planning for a major overhaul of my island using the Happy Island Designer website -- planning things out brings me so much joy.

I'm not burnt out at all, but life has gotten busy and I don't have as much time to play anymore. I usually check the shops and find a scallop then I'm already running late 😬

No, not even a pinch. There are still alot of things to do in the game for me and my island development is ultimately slow

Hot take: most of the people that are burned out are excessively time traveling or buying items from players who have been. If you got all the mermaid furniture on the first day, you're not gonna be excited to see Pascal every day. If you've already completed your art museum, Redd is kinda disappointing when you find him. Having every butterfly model from flick or every fish model from CJ has the same drawbacks. I haven't changed my system clock once and I'm still excited to boot the game up every morning.

The director of the game said it himself: the game will have more longevity if you play it the way it was meant to be played. I'm not here to tell people how to play or to call them cheaters or anything, but the game will last significantly longer if you don't touch the system clock. It's just a fact. I have so much pirate and mermaid furniture to collect, none of my museums are full yet because I've only been able to catch things up to July. With 500 hours down, I still don't even feel close to done: there's so much to collect and do. In my opinion, people who time travel rob themselves of the longevity that the animal crossing experience has. That's why people feel "burnt out". We just got an update 2 weeks ago and some people have already gotten everything from that update by abusing the system clock. I have one piece of pirate gear, and I'm anxiously awaiting my next piece.

Rant over. Play how you want to, but don't be surprised that the game doesn't have staying power if you cheat the game mechanics that give it that staying power in the first place.

I actually burned out because I wasn't time traveling and I wasn't trading for items. I felt stuck because I knew I was still missing so manyitems but I kept getting repeats in Nook's Cranny or Able's Sister. I still have a fair amount of villager DIYs I'm missing and instead they keep giving me tiki torch recipes. I had my hybrid farms all set up but I'd wait 24 hours and I'd still not have a purple windflower or purple hyacinth. It was a bit demoralizing how much I still wanted to do and how I couldn't progress on it because of all the things I was missing.

oof this is actually true for me (the trading part, at least).
I haven't had the game for a month yet but I did feel the burn out some time last week because my internet was not apt for online gaming. AKA I couldn't trade online for DIY stuff and catalogue items I needed. I was determined to get them in my own time, but instead I kept getting so many repeats that my room is filled with DIY. Even if I time travel, collect DIYs every day and check Nook's Cranny regularly, I was getting pretty bored not being able to progress at my own game's pace.
Today I caved in and paid for a better internet connection, and my interest for the game slowly grew back. I can now start working on other parts of my island I've been long dreaming for. I guess one tactic of mine so I can keep the game interesting and not burn myself out is collecting materials, bugs, fish, and fossils on my own. :) I'm also trying to keep a tight schedule of my play time (early morning and late night, my internet is best at those times) since I am going to work soon and juggle post-grad studies at the same time.
