Anyone Else Have a Starter Villager that Just Won't Move Out?

Boone wouldn't leave for me for a long time. After awhile I got fed up with him and hit him with the net daily, pushed him into pitfalls and sent him trash in the mail (they really hate gifted trash). He left in 5 days after I started doing that.

I also had Katt as a starter and she keeps trying to leave even though I don't want her to.

I just finally got rid of Diva last week. I was waiting for her to ask to move out naturally, but then my friend texted me and said I could have Zucker if I managed to TT someone out within six hours, which is when he would be voided. I really wanted Zucker, so I finally caved! It took over two hours of TTing and resetting, but Diva finally asked to move after about 20 tries.

Judging by how many other villagers asked to move out first, if I hadn't TT'd her out, Diva would still have been there for another 5 or 6 months, with my awful luck. I'm just amazed that some villagers ask to move so often (stop it, Flora; you are never leaving), and others never ask at all.

I swear, I've only had two villagers move out, and neither were ones that I really "wanted" to get rid of. I only said yes because I wasn't attached to them, and wanted to change things up. I feel like all of the villagers should ask whether they should move out MUCH more frequently. Just let us keep the ones we want, and keep the rest on a rotating schedule. Some of the random events in this game take way too long to trigger. It shouldn't take months for villagers to ask if they should move. Just keep them asking. It really doesn't hurt anything.

Hazel has never once asked to move since March 20 2020.....and she's the one we want out the most

I had the same problem and ended up giving in to TT (first and last time i did it) to kick Charlise out last friday. She was out in 15 min, pretty easy. Big lime green bear, not my thing.
Sorry but unless you have access to amiibo cards, TT or patience are your only options

I thought I was the only one with this problem. I have coach who was one of my first three villagers and he hasn’t asked to move yet. I even have his photo. I don’t hate him Necessarily but he’s top of my wanting-to-move list

Jitters refused to move for the longest time.... so I just plain stoped talking to him until he got thought bubbles :/

I had this issue with my starting villager Frita. The issue is your starting villagers are the ones you probably have the highest friendship with, therefore they are less likely to leave UNLESS you lower their friendship or you raise it enough to get their picture.

Omg leopold plagued my friend for months! she just got him to leave last week! I actually think Olive is kind of cute but I get that feeling when you just want to move on!

Olive is adorable, but i've had them for awhile, and theres another normal villager i really want! I've had her for months too, they were one of the first 3 you get from a mystery island. would you want them if they moved out?

Katt was also one of my starting villagers, and I think I got her to leave by accepting a camper. I was lucky that the camper happened to suggest her first time, but you can always force close the game if it suggests someone else until the camper suggests her.

My jock starter wouldn't budge until a few days ago, so I feel your pain. It took around 3 weeks of thought bubble hopping for it to finally land on him. I really wish the basic houses could be upgraded to their proper interiors.

I would like Ken (my forced smug) to move. He's not a nuisance or anything and he's got a pretty nice design, but I'm not very fond of the chicken or smug villagers. I would like to have Marshal since I like him but I don't want to invite him until Ken asks to move. I would also like Drago to ask because he was a random move in and my friend asked if she could have him and I said yes. But I am getting pretty attached to him and would like him to ask before I get even more attached since I have to give him away!

I've had Katt as one of my original two starter villagers since I started in April but she hasn't asked to move at any point.

I had Katt at the beginning but replaced her with Grizzly now Flip is my only starting villager still living on my island

I've been playing since early April and only three have asked to move on (I allowed two but denied the other one).
