I've been playing every day since the game came out and today I am just feeling like i need to quit and do something else... I feel like there's nothing left to do except terraform my island, but the terraforming is so frustrating because there will always been bits of grass sticking out and you can't blend the different tiles and building one cliff takes like 20 minutes... Anyone else feeling the same way? I honestly might quit and go play BOTW for the 7th time lol... Also it takes like 15 days so move out one villager so there's another roadblock OTL

I have felt burnout doing trade after trade after trade... Trying to collect all the items I've been wanting or needing as well as helping others with their own wishlists, and yeah, there have been days when I've been burnt out from the game. It's honestly addicting. I think that goes to show that it's mean to be a slow grinder game though and people (including me!) and been hammering through it because of quarantine and because there is so much in the game to do!

I think it's good to be mindful and realize when you're burning out, whether it be from the game or anything! Maybe you should take a day to focus on something else you enjoy and then come back the day after that. You'll be feeling so much better and by all means its not bad if you just log on to do simple things like chores or whatever! You will feel much more refreshed after taking a break, I assure you! ❤

Well, when you're stuck inside for like 20 hours a day it's easy to get burnt out on anything. I'm like.. 2 days away from being able to terraform because my dumb arse thought it would be a good idea to spread everyone's house apart for aesthetics, only to realize I have to move everything so I can terraform. Definitely a fun way to spend like 700K Bells.

I'm also still on 9 villagers, since I was to at least get a little ground work done... also the fact my villagers refuse to move right now. It's been like two weeks since my first move out. I'm hoping any day now one of them decides to move... and hopefully it isn't Reneigh or Freya.

But yeah, I haven't really been (too) burnt out, since I've been doing other things other than Animal Crossing.

I remember reading this one post where they said because of this quarantine, everyone is playing the game at high speed versus a slower pace if we had other things to contend with in life (work, school, robbing trains, etc)

I can understand this burnout among other people and I think it's good to take breaks.

I don't technically feel drained myself. However, there are certain moments where I had enough of animal crossing for the day.

Not really. I have the decency to put down the game for once. I skipped the tourney because the eggs were annoying but I'm just doing other things than the game. Chillax, guys. The game runs in real-time (aka slow as hell). You can get items eventually no need to rush.

Definitely. I don't play video games for hours anymore so to be doing so due to covid, it's really taken a toll on me. I've simply taken breaks, like days where I don't play. It really helps!

It's pretty easy to feel burned out yeah :) Looking at things for my wishlist, turnip prices etc. is a bit exhausting and can take the fun out of the game. Especially everyone's situation (being in quarantine), hence why I mix my day up with either university work, ACNH, drawing, reading (but mostly ACNH lmao; almost at 200hrs yikes).

The game is slow paced and I don't mind tbh. It gets me excited (waiting a month or so for mushrooms and then I can get mush lamps!) and something to work towards~!

i tried making a shop on here but selling things IMMEDIATELY burnt me out. it lasted me one day lmao like i really don't like feeling obligated to go online for other people and it feels like i'm at work! otherwise, i'm doing okay - i only play for around 2-3 hours a day (i play when i wake up to do the daily chores, and right before bed) so i don't feel drained at all! it's important to take some time away from it, especially if you've been playing for long periods of time (like you said, day after day).

take breaks if it isn't fun!! play another game! this is a game that is perfect for just chilling out and walking around and escapism so there's no need to feel pressured. (also terraforming gets easier with practice!)

This is basically my thought with it. I've seen other people rushing around to get stuff quickly but the fact is, the game will still be here a long time from now and yall have plenty of time to get everything you want/need. I'm not burned out on it yet, and I have almost 110 hours logged in.

But I also haven't been playing it non-stop, I take breaks, some as short as 10 min and some as long as almost a whole day. Maybe you could consider doing the same?

Honestly, I personally want to only sell hybrids and select DIYs as a 'weekend store' for some extra cash, so it doesn't burn me out with needing to play every day just to do trades and junk... but if you read my previous comment on this thread... yeah, I needed some extra cash. Sold a bunch of rarities I had laying around and sold everything for IGB. Ended up with like... 3m IGB. Did like five hours of trading. Felt exhausted.

Definitely helps with fuelling my stupid mistakes and to help prep for terraforming, though...

im kinda sad because i don't get any cute furniture or diys to decorate my town... and when i do, it's in an horrid color because im unlucky like that.
i've been getting the urge to TT to make the process faster (of gathering furniture/diy). i cant really do trades because my internet is really bad so i have to get everything on my own.

I'm at the same point... I know there's DIYs and furniture to collect but I still feel like there's quite a bit of life missing from the game.

yes!! it's definitely a great way to make money and i like that people can get their wishlist items!

it just wasn't for me because i always felt so overwhelmed and obligated to trade and sell to people the second they were ready and i did it all in one day. i think i personally feel more relaxed just playing through it day by day and just working towards making bells at my own pace but to each their own for sure!

I was the third week in, but since I made some ideas that I got down, I feel okay now.

Yeah.. I've personally never really enjoyed running a shop. So I figured I might try a 'weekend shop' like I mentioned to sell a few select things to a certain amount of people for that day.

With all the Bells I made trading, I bought like 10,000 Turnips. Hoping to turn up a huge profit so I don't have to rely on trading items as much. e-e

I have 170 hours with the game, but I don't feel burnt out necessarily. I always get up in the early mornings to shake trees, check the shops, kill a balloon or two, and check up on the villagers and any visiting NPCs. I leave the game alone for a couple of hours to do some chores and maybe read for a bit before I check up on the game again. A few hours at a time might do it some good I'd think.
Honestly, I felt more burnt out for the past two weeks because of this Bunny Day event, what will the constant egg related dialogue and over abundance of egg balloons and recipes. It felt like I was making 0 progress. I'm so happy it's over now.

I'm playing a lot less than I did at the start, but that's only because my island is further along. Because I don't TT, I'm still waiting for the first Nook's upgrade. I'm nowhere near burnt out, and imagine it'll be a while before that happens.

I've also still got 5 more villagers to move in. I imagine once they're all in, I'll be even more dedicated.

I've played this game for more than 155 hours, which about the same amount of time that I sucked everything out of BOTW. the game has been released for almost a month and considering the time everyone here spent with the game I think you should be satisfied that you just felt burn-out yet. But I still enjoy the game, as I'm not TT, I still have a lot of things to do.

I would like to give my insight about trading, it's a lot of fun trading/buying with real ppl but the conversion rate of NMT is quite exaggerate everyone used to sell/buy 1 NMT for 250k which is too much/ and that destroy ecosystem of the game quite a lot

I've also been playing daily and have clocked in ~170 hours but have never felt burnt out as I feel motivated to earn more IGB to pay off my loan + trying to beautify my town with hybrid flowers or furniture-hunting via balloons.

I think another reason why I don't feel burnt out might be due to this forum itself; I love coming here and participating in threads or trading with people. Having a community to enjoy and discuss the same game together definitely eliminates any negative feeling towards the game!

Same here, I'm around ~70 hours mark, and I feel burned.

I love to make my island paradise, but blank animals and forced online just stops me from doing that
