Anyone else don't like the idea of us choosing villagers house placement?

Some things (I've never played the previous AC games, but I've heard of this) such as being able to stop a villager from moving even when he/she is in boxes would be great to have back. That feature was once available and bringing it back probably wouldn't be much trouble.
I have not played the previous games either so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but supposedly the villagers wouldn't even warn you in advance if they were moving, they'd just randomly up and be in boxes one day -- that's probably why you could still convince them to stay at the boxes stage. Personally I like it the way it is now, at least you have five days to find and stop the mover.

Really? I didn't know that. I suppose if I had to choose I would pick the five day warning. It sucks since we lose villagers anyway sometimes that way but if they don't even warn you it would be even easier to happen to forget to visit one and even see if they were trying to sneak out of town!

Yeah, in the previous games they don't tell you they're moving ahead of time. I love that we have 5 days notice in NL :)

Heh...so, ideally, we should be able to designate where they move, get five days notice, AND also be able to talk them out of moving if they are in boxes?

:P
