anyone else can’t be bothered to help gulliver?

I've helped him every time except once when I left it for later and then forgot to. Every time (except today) I've been disappointed by his gifts lol. I just want Pagodas or the Stonehenge, not a new gift shop hat I'm never going to wear. Thankfully today I finally got my first Pagoda, which is also the first item I received that wasn't a hat. Hopefully this one breaks the hat curse!!

I like helping him, he's an adorable little seagull. Plus the task is really easy, and you never know what reward you'll get. I have had him about four times, and my favourite item has been the Pagoda, hope to get the Moai statue soon!

i always help him still, because i love his big furniture gifts (he keeps sending me headpieces though ;; )! honestly i do still like gulliver in this game, but his dialogue is a bit long/repetitive. then again, in past games he was also a big repetitive too, so i can't complain c':

I didn't help him once or twice until I remembered right mails those fancy items. Last time I helped him was actually really quick as one side of my beach is completely covered with basic flowers and hybrids and the other side is half covered with hybrids and its decorated so it was easier and faster this way to find the communicator parts. This way its even easier for me to snag clams.

Gulliver sends you some of the best items in the game and completing his task, including waking him up, only takes a few minutes... Gulliver is easily my favorite of all the visitors...

The gold shovel is unlocked by helping him 30 times, and some of the items he gives are pretty cool. It takes me all of 5 minutes... So, yeah, I help him.

i always do for the rewards but now i read that you have to help him 50 times to get gold shovel diy so i will for sure keep helping him

It got repetitive after the first time. Same fetch quest over and over again digging for 5 parts? No thanks. I miss the simple quiz from the last game; it was interesting.

I mean...wouldn't you?

Kinda, I mean, he’s like a dog in a way, you see them stranded in a ditch, it’s so pitiful that you can’t help by rescue it (and he’s a ‘dog’ that gives gifts in return)

I'm waiting for him to pass out drunkenly on my beach so he can give the damn pagoda. Out of all the times I've helped him (three, if I'm not mistaken), not once have I received a gift I liked. Those masks he sends are ugly as hell lol.

Haha, yes!!! I would rather trade with others for the items i want from him. I only got him three times and i have started my island like a week after the game came out, so it seems like even he cannot be bothered with me. I would love if he didnt give you the same task every single time, but maybe had like 3 or 4 ones he would rotate between each time to switch things up.

I was joking tbh. I feel sorry for him. He means well, he’s just utterly incompetent and overly chatty.

Haha, yeah, poor guy (and sorry, sarcasm is hard to tell unless its wRiTtEn LiKe ThIs)

Once I get the achievement for helping him I'll stop. I wish we could skip the dialogue toooo

No worries. I’m an old, I didn’t realize that was how the “youths” signal sarcasm. To me it looks like you are unhinged or writing an AOL profile circa 1998. ;)
In my day we walked up hill both ways to get our modems to connect to AOL and we liked it! :shakes Internet cane:

I think I must’ve had a bad dream about Gulliver or something, because I get so irrationally angry whenever I see or even think about that dumb bird.

I usually never have such hatred for characters who did nothing wrong. But uuuuggggghhhhh, Gulliver... -_-

I help him every time he shows up on my beach. His mission is a bit underwhelming but the items, particularly the headwear, are worth it.
