nah, I doubt he expected someone to randomly show up on a deserted island and gawk at his ass, so I very hurriedly left like a thief in the night. poor guy just wanted somewhere private to vibe with his butt out
and I found dom on the second ticket!

Louie and Hans, that's probably about it for the ones I would be alright with. That's not a particularly high bar for me though

Why are you attacking Al? He is one of my villagers and he is one of the sweetest lazy boy. He is always kind to me, never gets angry when I talk to him again. I have Al and Zucker at my island, both of them have the same personality. But people only love Zucker showing that most players only care for looks.
Honestly, i think some of them look pretty cute, like Violet and that jock one that has rosey cheeks. They arent getting invited to my island or anything like that, but what i am trying to say is that if they came with more of them i wouldnt mind and i might even get them at some point.
Not really so far, the only gorilla that looks decent to me I see Hans, something about their design does throw me off in a way. I had a experience with a gorilla villager in WW and what disturbs me the most is their rear. If they removed the rear or fix it, then i’ll like them a bit more.

I'm assuming you're joking, but incase you're not...
I'm "attacking" Al because he's ugly. There's 8 main personality types in game, 2 subtypes per category, and there are 397 villagers in the game. There will be a lot of personality repeats with such a vast amount of villagers. Logically, with so many repeats, it stands to reason that the deciding factor for villagers, after personality type will be to consider looks. I pick personality types I like, and after that, the next filter is to check whether that villager is cute or not. If they're not cute, I don't want them, but I do pick the cutest villager of each type.
I don't know if most players only care for looks. I don't speak for anyone else but myself. However, I will say that even if that's true... so what? People like what they like, and if looks are most important to them, let them be.

I was never a fan. I had Cesar on the GameCube version. I stance on a gorilla villager was neutral. Cool, but not appealing to me. I got Hans in New Leaf and instantly liked him. My brother found Al on an island in New Horizons. I wasn't sure about him at first, because yes, I am a tad bit bias on a characters design, but after he moved in, I liked him in my town. Boyd moved himself in an open plot of land. I was looking for villagers on an island, but I was hoping to find familiar faces and couldn't. Boyd moved in, and at first, I wasn't a fan. But he's one of my favorites. Even though he's just some video game character, he's relatable to me. So I like gorilla villagers now. I think they're cute.
I think Hans and Boone are kind of cool. Violet is hysterical-looking. I don't really care for any of the rest of them, though. I couldn't wait to get Rocket off of my island when I got her as a starter. I see occasional comments asking for the Sanrio villagers back, and while I agree, I'll gladly take any of them except for Rilla. Goodness gracious, who okay'd the design for Rilla?

Some of them can be cute and I agree the one that's obsessed with Mario is kind of like Donkey Kong! I think they're pretty funny with their booties. One looks like Rafiki from Lion King. I forget the species of monkey he is but yeah he has a blue booty! I do think most of them are ugly though but I can see their appeal. I would get them for the memes if I had the room haha.

Me! I love gorilla villagers! Rocket was my dreamie in NL and Louie is my dreamy for NH--I think he'd be perfect as my jock villager. I was so close to moving Boyd in when I saw him, too. I just might as my 10th. I also like Boone's design.
